There are 54 comfortable rooms, a restaurant, a children's playground, a lovely swimming pool and a tennis court, so there are plenty of leisure facilities for those seeking an active holiday. The resort of Afandou also offers a beautiful beach with crystal clear waters and a variety of water sports are also on offer. The Golf View Hotel offers its guests all the comforts required for a relaxing holiday, with good facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.

The Rodos Star Hotel is set on a steep hill in a very quiet and relaxing location, one side overlooking the village of Afandou and the other, the eastern coastline. It is close enough to explore the traditional village of Afandou with its many bars, restaurants and tavernas. The lovely pebble beach of Afandou is just a 15 minute walk away and Afandou golf course is one kilometre away. It is a friendly, family run hotel, ideal if you want to relax and be away from it all in a nice, traditional surroundings.

The hotel is situated just off the main road of Kolymbia. On the outskirts of the Kolymbia area approximately 1 km from the main centre, about 23 kms from Rodos town, 12 kms from Faliraki and 6 kms from Golf Afandou. The distance between Hotel Loutanis and the beautiful beach of Afandou is about 600 metres, and to Kolymbia beach about 700 metres. The hotel also offers free minibus service to the nearest beach. The hotel was built in 1990 and completely renovated in 2001 and now consists of 3 buildings (main building and 2 side buildings) with reception, bar, lounge, TV-area, restaurant, safe boxes, 2 pools with umbrellas and chairs, children's pool, snack pool bar and children's playground.

The Marathon Hotel is situated 400 metres from the beach in the resort of Kolymbia. Kolymbia is located in the middle of the island of Rhodes making it the perfect base for those that want to hire a car and explore. The hotel consists of 115 rooms and a restaurant located around the swimming pool area. All guestrooms have balcony views of the courtyard, garden or pool and contain televisions with cable channels and fax machines. Other features include a poolside bar and a children's club. There is a bus stop for Rhodes Town, Lindos and other destinations nearby, as well as mini markets and shops all around the area.

The Summerland Hotel and Bungalows is a stylish arrangement of yellow walled buildings well located in the Ixia area on the west coast. Holidaymakers here benefit from being only 800 metres from a pretty beach, 1.5 km from the ancient town of Ialysos and 6 km from the vibrant, bustling island capital, Rhodes Town. Our opinion: A family-run hotel with a welcoming atmosphere conveniently located for the beach and the resort centre.

The family-run Thalia Hotel is in a peaceful area, set back from the main road into Pefkos village with the beach a 10-minute stroll away. It offers basic, traditional accommodation in studios which can sleep up to three adults. Air-conditioning is available for an extra charge, and each studio has an open plan kitchenette and a bathroom. On site is a large main pool and children's pool with a sunbathing terrace equipped with loungers and parasols. There is also a bar on site serving drinks and snacks throughout the day and a mini-market, ensuring you won't have far to go to get your holiday essentials. A good choice of restaurants and bars can be found in the resort centre, a five-minute walk away, but if you prefer to stay put, the Thalia runs an entertainment programme in high season including Karaoke and Greek nights with authentic Greek cuisine and dancing.

The Kalithea Sun and Sky hotel is set in an elevated position in a quiet and relaxing location amongst attractive gardens on a private road. Lazy days may be spent around the pool and the beach is a 15 minute walk away. The resort of Kalithea with its sprinkling of bars, restaurants and tavernas is just over a 5 minute walk. The capital of the island, Rhodes Town, with its historical yet cosmopolitan charm, is a 10 minute drive away. The other direction takes you to lively Faliraki with its abundance of nightlife. The rooms are either in the main building or in blocks that are situated around the pool. Please note: This accommodation is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties due to the number of steps.
