San Antonio was a small fishing village that later developed into a tourist mecca for European holidaymakers. Capilla de San Ciriaco: This is a steep small cobbled street that crosses the Calle Mayor leading to the cathedral in the heart of the old city. In this little street you will find an interesting chapel with the same name. It is a large crack in the rock with a grille covering the hole in the wall. Legend has it that this is the place where the first Catalan soldiers entered the Arab citadel in 1235, thus allowing the island to be conquered by King Jaime I
Estátua del Sagrado Corazòn de Jesus: Ibiza's statue of Christ can be seen from the road running between San Antonio and Ibiza Town. The statue is a monument to the Sacred heart of Jesus and was erected after the Spanish civil war. From here you will be able to enjoy wonderful view of the valley.
Faro de Botafoc: The Botafoc lighthouse sits just right of beach as you head towards Talamanca. From here you can enjoy panoramic views of Ibiza Town. Built in 1861, the lighthouse is 16 metres high. Visitors are not permitted to go inside the building.

Holidays in San Antonio - Beaches
San Antonio itself doesn't have a great beach but your not far away from the number of sandy beaches spread across San Antonio bay, the best beaches are located in the south of the resort such as Cala Vadella. Many of the beaches in San Antonio have shallow waters safe for paddling and less confident swimmers, these can be found at Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa and Cala Conta and can be easily accessed by bus or taxi.
As you'd expect many of the beaches provide a range of watersports and equipment can be rented and lessons taken quite cheaply.
