Our opinion: Right in the centre of this lively resort, the Sol Trinidad is a great choice for an energetic holiday.
Book a holiday at the Sol Trinidad Hotel if you're young, you're lively, or you've double-checked the pacemaker's in place - it's not going to be a quiet one. Bang on the beachfront promenade in the sizzling resort of Magaluf, there's no getting away from the action: bars, clubs and restaurants are on the doorstep. The beach is right there too, beckoning the bleary-eyed at daybreak to recharge their batteries with solar power, stretched out on the sands or stoking up the stamina with active beach games such as volleyball or any of the numerous watersports going on. Golf fans are well-catered for in the area, too, and a boat trip makes for an undemanding day out. For families the Aquapark, just 400 metres away, promises to be an exciting option.
The hotel's pool area is a calm spot during the day, ideal for slowing down the pace and catching up on reading or for a snooze. Sun beds and parasols fill the terrace, and the pool bar is on hand to cater for any parched throats or hungry tums with snacks and ice-cold drinks. If you choose, join in activities such as archery, waterpolo and table tennis. When mealtimes come around, visit the buffet restaurant where children have their own section and special diets can be catered for. Themed nights with entertainment and barbecues take place in the summer as an alternative to the lively night scene happening outside. If the latter takes your fancy, however, Majorca's celebrated BCM nightclub and the casino are both within stumbling distance.
