Our opinion: The Sol Gavilanes is a spacious hotel with extensive gardens located in a beautiful area, this is the perfect base for adventurous or relaxing unforgettable holidays.
The Hotel Sol Gavilanes is located next to the sea, right on the Santa Galdana beach, one of the coves with the nicest, golden sand in Menorca. The hotel is surrounded by extensive gardens and pine woods. The hotel was refurbished in 2000 and offers 297 double rooms, 9 single rooms, 29 family rooms and 11 junior suites. All benefit from private bathroom, hair dryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, mini bar, safety deposit box and balcony or terrace. Guests can relax by one of outdoor swimming pools or soak up the sun on the terrace and with a children's pool and club available to keep the little ones occupied. To aid relaxation guests can take advantage of the sauna, massage service (payable locally), sunbathing terrace and loungers with parasols surrounding the pools. The onsite restaurant serves tempting cuisine and the bar/lounge is on hand for leisurely drinks. The Sol Gavilanes offers a great range of facilities and activities to suit families, couples and groups of friends alike. Just 5 minutes walking distance from the shops in Cala Galdana, 30 minutes from the historical centre Ciutadella, 24 kilometres from the 14 hole golf course Son Parc and just 40 kilometres from the airport. Please note this hotel is not suitable for people with walking difficulties due to its hillside location.
