The volcanic surroundings, its proximity to the sea, sunny climate with an average temperature of 21C, makes this a unique place to spend your holidays. The apartments are cosy and comfortable, fully equipped and were modernized and renovated in 2008. The lovely swimming pool is a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the weather. There's also a pool bar on-hand to refresh you with drinks as well as a restaurant to keep you fuelled throughout your stay. There's a separate swimming pool for the kids' as well as a playground. The HG Tenerife Sur Apartments are ideally located within easy access of restaurants, bars and the shopping venues of Los Cristianos, Tenerife. The airport is approximately 12 kilometres away and the beach just 500 metres away.

The Castle Harbour Apartments are situated on quite a steep hillside offering holidaymakers great views and a friendly welcome. Terrific value for money, the apartments here are functional, comfortable and cheerful, providing everything necessary for a trouble-free, self-catering break in this pretty resort. It is an ideal choice if peace and quiet are high on your priority list - the apartments are in a residential area and the pool bar is closed by 11.30 at night. That's not to say the fun has to end then, however: there are plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants in the resort within a few hundred metres of the apartments and, for committed party people, Playa Las Americas can be reached on foot in about half an hour, or the local taxi, costing just a few Euros will zip you there in minutes. The apartments are a creamy white stone, in keeping with the architecture of the area, and have enclosed balconies overlooking the swimming pool and sun terrace or the streets of Los Cristianos. The large and lovely cold swimming pool is guaranteed to bring your temperature down if you dive in. Around it are sun loungers for hire and the bar will provide snacks and drinks to keep you going throughout - a popular place to pass the day. The golden beaches are not far away, though, and offer an alternative to sun worshippers. Meanwhile, the busy port harbour is the place to go to book yourself on one of the exciting whale and dolphin watching boat trips, fishing expeditions or party cruises.

Our opinion: This elegant hotel is ideal for couples with or without children looking for a sophisticated accommodation that will provide their dream holiday.

The Arona Gran Hotel is located right on the beach in the bay of Los Cristianos. With its glass covered walkways and interior fountains, this elegant hotel offers guests a beautiful atmosphere with many features and facilities, such as an international entertainment programme, a piano bar and even an indoor driving range. Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in the large fresh water pool, with separate area for younger guests and the poolside bar serves light snacks and cocktails to accompany lazy days in the sun. Those looking to keep fit can make use the gym. The guest rooms are spacious and well appointed with all of the modern amenities required for maximum comfort, including satellite TV and a private terrace or balcony. Our opinion: Popular, welcoming accommodation for an excellent break in Los Cristianos.

The Reveron Apartments are housed in an attractive art deco building and have many loyal fans with good reason: greeted warmly by friendly staff you will be shown to some of the cleanest rooms you are likely to find. What's more, located just outside the resort of former fishing village, Los Cristianos, you are just 900 metres from a pretty sand and shingle beach with a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Transfer from the airport takes just 15 minutes, making it a convenient choice for young families. Accommodation is simple, but comfortable and the apartments have been carefully equipped with all that is required for a relaxing, stress-free break. Within the complex you will also find a fabulous rectangular swimming pool set on a tiled sunbathing terrace with stunning views over the rooftops. It is fringed with a line of columns topped with globe lights. Here the sun loungers and parasols invite you to spend a day doing as little as possible but, if you need re-coiffuring after a day in the pool, there is also a hairdresser on site to oblige, and the gym will keep the rest of you in good shape too. Why not reward yourself with a massage afterwards? Days out are definitely on the cards with plenty to see and do in the area. Our opinion: Ideal for those looking for a quiet holiday away from some of the more livelier night life, great for families with young children or if your a golfer looking for a great base on the island.

The Villa Mandi Golf Resort is set in an attractive resort in a picturesque and peaceful location. This resort is great choice for family holidays and those who want a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle. The Villa Mandi offers a warm reception to all its guests. In the summer season between May-September you can enjoy shows, animation and the nightclub. The hotel has a recreation room, a reading room, conference room, plasma television, Internet access, a supermarket with a great assortment of products and laundry services. For younger guests the hotel has two playgrounds and various rooms with mini club games. For the older children the hotel has a mini-golf, table tennis and billiards. Villa Mandi has four pools, two of which are heated and one is exclusively for infants. In the evenings you can also enjoy a pleasant dinner in the main restaurant or if you prefer the terrace, where you can enjoy your meal whilst watching the sunset shades, framed by the next door golf course. This resort is located approximately 15 kilometres from the Airport. Due to the peaceful location of the apartments, the Villa Mandi may not be appealing for those looking for a livelier holiday.
