Playa de las Terasitas: Located north of Santa Cruz and extended in 1973 by bringing in sand from the Sahara desert, palm trees for shade and very popular.

Playa de las Americas: Located at the tip of island's south-eastern extreme, good sandy beach with convenient access to a range if bars, restaurants and other tourist facilities.

Playa de las Galletas: Situated at the island's southern extreme, the beach is predominantly stony with a small section sand. The beach is conveniently located to hotels offering good facilities.

Playa de las Caletillas: Another centre for tourism with three marvellous small bays close to Candelaria.

Playa de San Juan: A lovely blue flag beach with black sand.

Playa de Los Gigantes: A relatively small beach in relation to the size of the town but has an incredible landscape.

Playa de El Medano: A favourite for wine and kite surfers this lovely long natural beach which starts in the village and stretches to Montana Roja.
