Our opinion:
Traditional style Cypriot village house in one of the most beautiful villages in the Troodos Mountains.
Set back from the main road, this charming, renovated house is approximately a four minute walk from the village square. The accommodation is well furnished, pleasantly decorated and maintained to an excellent standard. There is a small veranda ideal for relaxation.
Two bedroom house (4 persons) with double and two single beds, open plan kitchen, sitting room with fire place, dining room and bathroom. Equipped with TV, fan, central heating, electric kettle, oven with four cooking rings, fridge, iron & board, toaster and washing machine.

The accommodation is very clean and well looked after. It is not luxurious but does reflect the traditional character if you are not looking for top of the range antique fixtures and fittings. It is not for everybody - there is no microwave, no internet connection and only 1 channel in English (Euronews) apart from the old films shown with Greek subtitles. My partner moaned above all that was missing including cold water - the cold water tap persistently produced lukewarm or simply hot water. In my opinion it is a small price to pay for the beauty and character of the place! In the evening you feel emerged in the life of the locals. The noises, the cooking and the language surround you, leaving you feeling like you are truly in a different country - not another hotel any place in the Mediterranean. The only thing that was missing is the pool. While it does not state on this website that there is one on the property another website advertises this property and suggests to relax there by the pool. Pretty hard as there isn't one. If you like some early hours sunbathing - you have a roof with grapevines. The stairs lead from the yard and you might want to ask permission to use it - just to be polite. The owners are a lovely elderly couple, very friendly. They will speak Greek to you but somehow you feel you understand. They understand basic English and the housekeeper is also lovely and does he rjob up to a good standard. The village itself is very nice with its own bakery and some souvenir shops. Beware of old shop keeper that will literately grab you by the arm and not let go. run for your life if you don't want to buy anything!! Omodos is ideal for exploring Troodes but is a bit far away if you want to go to the beach every day. Also convenient as a base for exploring the whole island. Loved every minute of this holiday and would go back without hesitation !!!
