The Cavo Maris Beach Hotel is a great choice for an active holiday in an unspoilt location. Set in beautiful landscaped gardens, the hotel is large, modern and aims to please. The swimming pool and impressive sun terrace are the main focus but from the inviting turquoise pool follow the path bordered with tall palms down to the beach. On the way, you'll find layers of lawn littered with comfortable, cornflower blue sunbeds leading down to the sheltered, sandy cove where more sunbeds await. Lie back and watch the boats at the jetty while you relax in the warm rays. When you've done lying in the sun, try one of the many water sports on offer, or join the energetic beach volleyball. Back at the hotel, ring the changes with a spot of tennis or table tennis, or pop indoors for some darts, billiards or play electronic games. If a touch of sightseeing beckons, there are numerous sites of historical interest nearby, as well as the lively resorts of Protaras and Ayia Napa.

Buffet meals are served in the Alkion restaurant three times a day. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pool as you plan the day ahead and, later choose a la carte to dine al fresco watching the sun go down. Once the heat of the day subsides, enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine on the Coral Bar terrace and take in the evening's entertainment from the varied programme; it may be traditional folk dancing, karaoke, games or disco - you won't be bored.
