Our opinion: A great base for exploring the popular resort of Protaras, where you will be made welcome by the friendly staff.
The Vangelis Hotel and Apartments are situated in the heart of the popular resort of Protaras, surrounded by a wide selection of restaurants, pubs, discos and shops. It is only 150 metres from the finest beaches in the resort with their fine-grained sand and clear, warm seas. Water sports abound in the sheltered bay.
The focal point of the hotel is its big, freeform swimming pool and large sun-bathing terrace where a day can pass before you know it. There is also an outdoor tennis court, sauna and steam room as well as a fitness facility. Guests can refresh themselves which offers a meals, snacks and drinks from the Orange Grove Restaurant from a wide variety of local and international specialities and an good selection of local wines. When you emerge from the pool, you won't have to go far for a coffee or cocktail from the Orchard outdoor cocktail bar which is situated at the side of the pool. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served to guests each morning.
The studios and one-bedroomed apartments are equipped for a comfortable stay, and the hotel has a television room, games room and children's playground. The Vangelis is a good choice for families or young couples looking for a good value base from which to explore the area.
