Diving in Hurghada needs no introduction, it's already world famous. From minuscule nudibranchs to
giant whale sharks, this area has it all for a perfect Red Sea diving holiday: hard and soft coral, turtles
and dolphins, mantas and moray eels, napoleons and tuna, and much more, including the wreck graveyard at Sha'ab Abu Nuhas.
Aquarius at the Marriot opened in 1998. They have a dive base on the beach and jetty for their fleet
of dive boats. Not only is this a fantastic location but with Aquarius you have all the Marriott facilities
on hand; 'after dive' refreshments, air conditioned classroom, great diver training facilities, multilingual staff, a huge array of PADI Specialties, a divers shop, training pool and an island on your doorstep,
well things don't get much better than that! The centre is renowned for great dive trips and is a firm
favourite with the Aquarius regulars who come back year after year.
In the 200 square miles of sea available to our daily diving boats there are over 50 diving sites. These
vary from deep coral walls best suited to drift diving to shallow 9 metre coral heads and reefs which
feature interesting formations, a multitude of both hard and soft coral growth and the incredible number
of species of fish for which the Red Sea is famous. Just off shore lies the wreck of an Egyptian Mine
Sweeper lying at a depth of 30 metres.
