Aquarius Diving Club welcomes you to the world famous Red Sea - where the desert meets the
ocean. They offer a selection of diving activities to suit individual needs from beginner to professional. Aquarius Makadi is one of the newer dive centres in Hurghada, opened in 2003 and located on the
beach between two of the resorts of The Royal Azur 5* and the Club Azur 4*. Makadi Bay is a fairly
new resort area to the south of Hurghada and just north of Safaga. Most of the hotels and accommodation have their own beach fronts with good sandy beaches for swimming and snorkeling.
Makadi Bay is only 20km from Hurghada International Airport and the main town of Hurghada.
At Aquarius Makadi multilingual professional staff are ready to teach the whole range of PADI
courses and specialties, and for those of you who are already qualified then the amazing dive sites
of the Safaga region await you.
The fringing reef, which surrounds the cape of Ras Disha, offers a good shallow dive on the hard
coral garden found north of the lighthouse with schooling barracuda, napoleon fish and groupers.
The shallow erg fields of Abu Hashish lay on the south side of the island where lots of blue spotted
stingrays, puffer fish and morays are found swimming through a pinnacle landscape. A dramatic
drift dive can be made along the eastern wall with the chance to see big fish out in the blue.
Dolphins are often encountered anywhere around this reef so keep an eye out.
