Prerequisites To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be 10 years or older (PADI eLearning requires a minimum age of 13 years due to international internet laws What You Learn The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: Knowledge Development online, home study or in a classroom ) to understand basic principles of scuba diving; Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills; Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore! The Scuba Gear You Use In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear including a dive computer, and standard accessories. The equipment you wear varies somewhat, depending upon whether you're diving in tropical, temperate or cold water. |

The PADI Open Water Course will teach you everything you need to know to become a safe andconfident diver. Your course will cover all aspects from dive equipment to techniques. You will complete a number of theory sessions accompanied by hands on training in the pool (or in pool like conditions). Once you are confident in the pool you will then take these skills out to the open water. In open water you will experience four dives where you will get the opportunity to try your skills while enjoying the beauty of the underwater world. Upon successful completion of this programme you will become a Certified PADI Open Water Diver, giving you the freedom to dive with a buddy instead of a professional diving guide. |
