Our opinion: Holiday perfection for families and couples.
The Minos Imperial is an award winning, luxury beach resort and spa. Dominating the Emerald Bay in the traditional fishing village of Milatos, it covers 190,000 square metres of hillside, tumbling down to the beautiful sea with panoramic views over the Aegean from most of the 350 individual rooms. The resort is interspersed with picturesque gardens of palms and olive trees, waterfalls and numerous swimming pools to choose between. A daily programme of sports and activity takes place around the pool, or at the beach, with fitness, competitions and games to make sure every moment is filled with fun. It doesn't end at dinner time either: music and shows are laid on as darkness falls.
Parents are really able to recharge their batteries here as the Minos Imperial provides a wealth of things to keep the children entertained. There is an aqua park, a kids' club, electronic games and an endless list of things to do at the beach: jet ski, ride the banana, go canoeing, scuba diving or ride a sea bicycle, to name just some. Back at the hotel, tennis, basketball, table tennis, billiards and darts are all available. After all that action, treat your tired limbs to a mesmeric massage or relax in the sauna or Jacuzzi.
As you'd expect, the Minos Imperial doesn't disappoint in the dining department either- a veritable nirvana for foodies with a choice of five restaurants, and sea food a speciality of the region. Afterwards, end the day with a nightcap or two at one of the five inviting bars.
