The island has two main roads, one from the port of Patitiri to the Old Town and the other from Patitiri to the northern tip of the island, with a side road branching off to Steni Vala and Aghios Dimitrios.

Boat: It is the main mode of transportation in the island. A fleet of water taxis serves the main beaches, with larger boats sailing around Alonissos and further north to the deserted islands of the Marine Park.

By Bus or Taxi: There are four taxis on the island, and a bus service between Patitiri and the Old Town from June to September, ranging from four buses daily to nine or twelve in the high season.

Car Hire: An excellent way of getting around during Alonissos holidays, car hire gives you complete flexibility as well as the ability to see more of the island.
