The resort of Kanoni is one of the most astounding spots on the island. A narrow strip of land connects it to the Monastery of Vlacherna, and from there you can board a little boat to take you to the enchanting Pontikonissi - Corfu's trademark -the islet with its 13th century church.
You will find a few shingle beaches away from the tourist trail. A few bars, restaurants, tavernas & shops can be found nearby, alternatively Corfu town is approximately 3km away and can be reached by taxi-5mins, bus-10mins or by walking-30mins.
