Our opinion: Traditional, comfortable and spacious accommodation which boasts spectacular views of the sea and Sitia mountains.The popular, family run Golden Apartments are located in an elevated position on the outskirts of Aghios Nikolaos, approximately 2.5 kilometres from the resort centre and offer modern accommodation with a family atmosphere. The lovely, sandy beach of Almiros is 1.7 kilometres away. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious with an inviting pool area, lovely gardens and spectacular views of the bay and the Sitia mountains.
Ledra Studios and Apartments
Our opinion: Quiet location with top floor rooms overlooking the Mirabello Gulf.Apartments situated on the outskirts of Aghios Nikolaos town. On a steep hillside location with panoramic views over Mirabello Gulf. This accommodation is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties due to number of steps in & around the property.
Lato Hotel
Our opinion: A good, simple hotel in an excellent location.The Lato Hotel offers traditional Cretan accommodation with a lovely garden and is the perfect place to relax with the cosmopolitan resort of Aghios Nikolaos just a fifteen minute walk away. Situated in the beautiful Mirabello Bay area, a small golden sand beach is only a couple of minutes walk away and there are welcoming tavernas in the immediate vicinity.
Ormos Hotel
Our opinion: Located in a pretty surroundings, the Ormos Hotel offers guests the best of both worlds with the tranquility of the natural bay close by and the busy centre of Aghios Nikolaos within reach.The Ormos Hotel is located in the most picture-postcard area of Aghios Nikolaos, in front of the small natural bay. The town centre is approximately 1.5 kilometres away. The hotel's position offers the advantage of enabling guests to combine a restful holiday in a quiet environment with the cosmopolitan life of Aghios Nikolaos.
Micro Village Hotel and Pool
Our opinion: Good value for money. This accommodation is in an elevated position, so it is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties.The family run Micro Village is set in a peaceful, elevated position on the outskirts of Aghios Nikolaos. The pool area is set in beautiful gardens and the accommodation is basic but very well maintained. The golden sandy beach is a fifteen minute walk downhill. A taverna can be found within a few minute's walk.
Miramare Hotel
Our opinion: Situated in a peaceful location just above the sea front. The lively resort centre, where you will find great shopping opportunities and lively nightlife, is just a short walk away.The attractive Miramare Hotel is situated in a peaceful location just above the sea front with a great view of the town of Aghios Nikolaos and the Mirabello Bay. The hotel is built in a traditional island architecture and is situated between two beaches which offer full facilities, including water sports. The lively resort centre is just a short walk away.
Candia Park Village
Our opinion: Excellent, quiet, beautiful accommodation - great for families.Candia Park Village is the ideal resort for families and couples alike. Resembling a traditional Cretan village, the unique waterfront location offers panoramic views of Mirabello Bay and the azure sea. There is a golden sandy beach on site, as well as Havania Beach which is approximately 700 metres away. It is a five minute ride by taxi to the centre of Aghios Nikolaos and 10 minutes to the nearby town of Elounda.
Mare Hotel Apartments
Our opinion: These lovely studios and apartments are an excellent choice for privacy and relaxation.The Mare Hotel Apartments are situated in the centre of Aghios Nikolaos, overlooking the Mirabello bay next to a small shingle beach. The town centre is within walking distance and offers great shopping opportunities and lively nightlife.
Faedra Beach Hotel and Studios
Our opinion: Faedra Beach Hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly accommodation that will satisfy all types of travellers.Faedra Beach Hotel & Suites is located on popular sandy beach Ammoudara (Blue Flag award) and only 3 km from Agios Nikolaos, which is one of the nicest and most picturesque places in Crete. Faedra Beach is a very welcoming modern hotel with friendly staff, good cuisine and a variety of facilities on site.
Hermes Hotel
Our opinion: A well established hotel with a friendly atmosphere. The ideal choice for an exciting holiday.Overlooking the Gulf of Mirabello and across the street from a small pebbly beach lies the well established Hermes Hotel. The active harbour area lined with cafes and restaurants, a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike is situated within a ten minute walk of the hotel. There are also many bars and discos in the area. This newly renovated, delightful and friendly hotel with its welcoming atmosphere makes it the ideal choice for an exciting holiday.
