  1. Olympic Holidays Olympic Holidays at 02:11 pm, 3 November 2011

We arrived at the hotel at 5.30 am 10/9/2011. We should have arrived 16.35 the previous day. this was due to flight delays of 12 hours. We were so exhausted we went straight to bed. We got up at 11.30 to meet the rep and asked if we could have lunch as we had missed dinner the previous day and breakfast. The rep asked at the Hotel reception and was told catagorically NO by a lady we believe to be the owner. We found this very upsetting as it would have cost them no extra because lunch was a buffet and we had not eaten since the previous afternoon. We found the majority of the staff surly, inflexible and unfriendly The only helpful person was the cleaner. The food in the hotel was generally good but a bit samey. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere and to go out in the evenings you had to take your life in your hands and walk 25 mins down a dark lane to the seafront as the courtesy bus only ran twice a day and the last time being 4pm in the afternoon. You had to pay extra for everything(fridge, aircon, etc).On departure we were given a packed lunch.(a roll the size of an egg, 1/4 slice luncheon meat,1/4 slice cheese, piece cake, small pear, water). It was disgusting. There was no entertainment whatsoever.I would definately not go back to this Hotel although Crete in its self is a very nice place.
