Our opinion: A comfortable, attractive choice in a lovely spot.
The Ormos Crystal is in fact two adjacent hotels with a touch of the art deco about them, situated in the quiet area of Mirabello Bay. They sit close to the shoreline of a quaint little cove lined with trees, where the pretty crescent shaped beach meets a tranquil sea. Rooms here face gardens pool or sea and are well equipped and comfortably furnished. The scented sea breeze wafts in over the balcony where you can sit and watch the world go by, or sip a cocktail before sunset. A lovely pool invites you in to cool down and shade is offered not just by the parasols which stand to attention by the sun beds but also from mature olive trees which fringe it too. The pool bar provides refreshments to ensure uninterrupted chilling out. The hotel also has a restaurant and café extending out onto an attractive terrace.
Under a wide canopy is a games area with some toys for toddlers. There's a pool table too for older children, or even mum and dad. Table tennis, billiards and other games are also available. For the more energetic, nearby are tennis courts and sports facilities. Agios Nikolaos, is the perfect place to learn to Scuba Dive and a bus and taxi stop is just opposite the hotels to whisk you there in a jiffy. The area is full of attractions from archaeological sites, picturesque ports and mouth-watering local cuisine to be found by the sea or inland in the mountain villages.
