Our opinion: A peaceful hideaway and warm welcome await you at the Europa Beach Hotel.
The Europa Beach, situated in a peaceful corner of Crete, is an attractive hotel which extends a friendly welcome to its guests. It is built in the style of a Cretian village set among magnificent gardens, with low rise apartments and paths criss-crossing between them. The shore is just across the road from the hotel with a pretty cove, safe for sea bathing, nearby. A larger beach is just 100 metres distant, and the village of Analipsi, a 25 minute walk along the sea front where you will find shops, restaurants and tavernas.
A feature of this hotel is the well-tended outdoor complex in which the seawater and freshwater swimming pools are the main focus. Each pool has a children's paddling pool and a poolside snack bar serving guests spending the day between sunbathing on the loungers and cooling off in the turquoise water. Tennis and table tennis are available to guests with energy to go, and the hotel runs sports and aerobic sessions to keep in shape. For children, there is a Kids' club and playground. Rooms are simply, but tastefully furnished with a balcony or terrace to chill out on with a glass of wine as you feel the stress melt away. The cheerful, sunny main restaurant and the snack bar, pool and lobby bars provide tasty meals, snacks and drinks to keep you refreshed throughout the day. A programme of entertainment ensures that evenings are something to look forward to and bring the day to a happy conclusion.
