Our opinion: Simple accommodation set in a good location with a pleasant pool area.

Situated on the old national highway, approximately 2 kms from Hersonissos this simple, basic accommodation with pool and garden area is in an excellent location from which to explore the neighbouring resorts. The friendliness and service offered by the owners will make you feel at home from your first day. The Veregina is renowned for their excellent meals all of which are cooked using products grown from their own farm. Due to its location a torch is required at night.

These well maintained Cretan style studios and apartments are renowned for the friendliness of their owners. Situated on the busy main road these apartments are a fifteen minute walk from the small village resort of Anissaras. The pleasant garden area surrounding the pool enables you to enjoy relaxing days, or as an alternative the beach is 1.5 kilometres away. The main resort of Hersonissos is a 3 kilometre drive away.

The Villa Marina Studios are situated on a slip road off the old National Road, in a quiet location set amongst attractive gardens. Hersonissos is approximately a 3km drive away. The accommodation is well maintained by its friendly staff. To relax and cool off, guests can take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool. Continue your day at the pretty pool snack bar while enjoying wonderful snacks from the menu, ice cream, cocktails, juices, smoothies and much more! Guests can enjoy BBQ nights with local cuisine and music under the stars around the pool. The Villa Marina Studios is a friendly welcoming place to stay - ideal for families with children as well as couples. Look out for the beautiful views over Anissaras, as well as the pretty beach which is a 15-25 minute walk away. The bus stop is 100m from the property.

Set in the countryside in a quiet hillside location, the Oceanis Hotel offers traditional Cretan style accommodation. Within a kilometre radius guests will find several bars, tavernas and supermarkets. The sandy beach of Anissaras is a 2.5 kilometre walk away down a steep hill. Hersonissos Town is approximately a 2 kilometre bus ride away. By the pool guests will find a laid-back atmosphere - ideal for relaxing, soaking up the sun and meeting fellow guests. Children can also enjoy their own pool and playground within the complex. For those feeling more active water sports are available on the beach (payable locally). There's also plenty of facilities available on-site including an Internet corner, money exchange service, darts, tennis courts and table tennis. The rooms on offer here are spacious and contain a satellite TV, fridge (payable locally), bath or shower and private balcony. The Oceanis Hotel is ideal for those looking for a quiet, relaxing break. Please note that due to the location of this property it is not suitable for those with walking difficulties.

Cretan Garden Hotel is situated on the beautiful island of Crete. Cretan Garden Hotel is situated in the village of Anissaras, only a few minutes (350 meters) from a fine gravel beach. A public bus stop very near the hotel provides adequate connection to all destinations on the island. Cretan Garden Hotel is a 3 star hotel and apartment complex, built in traditional style on a slope with a beautiful view to the sea. This family run hotel has 48 rooms and apartments. The sports activities in the area are between other include all kinds of water sports, water parks with slides, diving, donkey and horse riding, carts and tennis courts to keep you busy during your holiday. About 8 kilometres from Cretan Garden Hotel lies Crete's first golf course. 18 holes have been created in a desert court design which equals any other well top class golf courses in Europe.
