Our opinion: With its excellent on site facilities the Lavris Hotel is well suited for families and couples.

The Lavris Hotel & Bungalows is a luxuriously furnished complex built in 2003. It is a part of the family complex and caters for young and mature couples, families with children and singles. It is situated in the resort of Kato Gouves, 15 kms east of Heraklion, 14 kms from the airport, 600 metres from the fine sandy beach and 2 kms from the picturesque old village of Gouves. It is only 8 kms from the bustling resort of Hersonissos and 16 kms from Malia. All of the above places can be visited by an efficient, cheap and regular bus service (every 30 minutes). The bus stop is only 150 metres from the hotel.

Meals: Breakfast 07:30-10:00, lunch 13:00-14:30 and dinner 19:00-21:30, all served in a rich buffet style at the main restaurant. Please note that during dinner, proper attire is required - no shorts or flip-flops are allowed. Toasted sandwiches and snacks are available at the bar from 11:00-12:30 and 16:00-18:00. Biscuits and ice-cream are served from 16:00-18:00. Drinks: Drinks include local alcohol - beer, wine, raki, ouzo, brandy, gin, vodka, rum and tequila.
