This small, family-run complex enjoys a quiet location set just off the main road. The resorts shops, tavernas, bars, restaurants and the beach are only a 200 metre walk from the accommodation. The Kostas-Chrysoulla Studios offer the perfect location for a relaxing holiday. The friendly owners offer a warm welcome and you are made to feel at home as soon as you enter the property. Sample a tasty snack at the pool bar and relax by the lovely pool - a perfect spot for soaking up the sun. The resort of Plakias is scenic and beautiful, offering an abundance of tavernas serving local specialties, making this accommodation a great choice for those seeking a relaxing break in a traditionally Greek resort. The rooms are basic yet comfortable and are a satisfactory base for those seeking to make the most of this fantastic resort. Please note there is a short walk (approx. 500m) to/from the reception area of this accommodation.

It is located just 100 metres from the centre of Plakias where there are a small selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars - all within a 2 minute walk. The beach is only a 3 minute walk away, making it a good accommodation for families seeking family fun on the beach. The Dora Studios are perfect for those seeking peace and tranquillity, yet with the pretty harbour area and all amenities close by. A torch is required for night time. Please note there is a walk of approximately 400 metres from coach drop off/pick up point to property and there are a number of steps around the property and leading to rooms.

The Irida Plakias Studios are situated in a beautiful location, set against a mountain backdrop, within a 5 minute walk of the centre of the resort of Plakias, and within walking distance of the beach. There are 9 Studios spread over 2 floors and all are furnished in traditional Cretan style. There is an open plan living/bedroom with twin beds, air conditioning (payable locally), a kitchenette, bathroom with shower and a balcony. Guests can relax in the swimming pool area that features sun loungers and umbrellas, an ideal place to soak up the sunshine. The pool bar provides light snacks and drinks throughout the day. Plakias has many shops and tavernas serving Cretan dishes within a 5-minute walk from the property. This simple, family-run accommodation is the ideal place for peace and relaxation. Please note that a torch is recommended for night time.

Our opinion: A cosy set of studios conveniently located near the pristine coastline, offering a relaxing atmosphere.

The Labyrinth Studios have been built within an olive grove and offer a home-like privacy. This accommodation is located near the southern coastline, and is within walking distance of the enchanting sandy beaches of Dannoni and Plakias. Situated 1400 metres away from the resort centre where you will find local bars, restaurants and shops. Please note that some traffic noise may be experienced. Due to the location of the property a torch is recommended for returning at night.

Located on a quiet side street in the village centre of Plakias, the hotel is 50 metres from the main sandy beach of Plakias and close to the pretty harbour area. There is also a selection of shops, tavernas and bars within close proximity. The rooms at the Sofia Hotel, recently re-designed with modern and clean lines offer guests an ideal environment to relax and unwind. There are 20 standard double or twin rooms, 4 double or twin deluxe rooms and 1 apartment, all with private furnished balconies to relax on after a long laze on the beach or a rugged Cretan adventure. All rooms in the Sofia Hotel are equipped with air conditioning, satellite T.V, mini fridge and a hair-dryer. Guests can start their day with a home cooked breakfast buffet. Most guests choose to take breakfast al fresco in the garden terrace, a delightful oasis in the heart of the hotel. An all day snack menu is available until 22:00 offering fresh juices, cocktails and much more. Other services available are an Internet corner which provides internet access for all guests wanting to keep up to date. Wifi is also available within the hotel. In the T.V. lounge weekly Greek lessons are held for all guests that wish to learn the Greek language, please note that there is a small charge for this service. The Alianthos Beach is an attractive and comfortable hotel on a seafront road with a reception and its own taverna. Ideally located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Plakias where guests will find the resorts facilities and a good selection of local tavernas, many of which face the beach. Back to the hotel, guests can enjoy swimming not only in the crystal and clear waters of the famous long sandy beach of Plakias but also in the amazing king-size swimming pool with children's pool. The hotel has an all day indoor restaurant, ideal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner or just a coffee. The menu is inspired by traditional Cretan, Mediterranean and International cuisine. The rooms at the front-side of the hotel offer breath taking panoramic sea views of Plakias Bay, Plakias village and the sea whereas the rooms at the back of the hotel offer an amazing view to the villages and small mountains around Plakias with olive and orange groves. The village of Plakias is a lovely traditional village on the south coast of Crete, famous for its beautiful beaches and the amazing countryside with gorges, small rivers, olive and orange groves and beautiful mountains. The Alianthos Beach Hotel offers guests comfortable accommodation in a great location with local amenities all within walking distance.

It is ideally located just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Plakias where the resort's facilities and a good selection of local tavernas, many of which face the pretty beach can be found. The hotel provides free wireless internet in all rooms as well as the hotel's public spaces. The Alianthos Gardens Hotel is situated in a small resort where the beach stretches across the full length and guests are sure to find amazing views too.

Our opinion: A gem of a hotel nestled in this picturesque village.

Porto Plakias is situated 100 meters away from the long sandy beach of Plakias, 32 kms from Rethymno and 110 kms from Chania Airport. It is surrounded by mountain villages, many archeological sites, crystal clear waters, beautiful sandy beaches, plenty of shops,restaurants and bars to satisfy all demanding visitors.

Our opinion: Amazing views, modern facilities with plenty of leisure activities to keep all entertained.

The Kalypso Cretan Village is located between the cliffs of Plakias and Damnoni, although remote there are stunning views from all round the property. Please note that this property is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties or wheelchair users. Due to location Car hire is recommended.
