Our opinion: This is a brand new hotel in an idyllic location, perfect for couples and families looking for the perfect getaway.

The brand new Ionian Emerald Resort is located in the small village of Karavomylos on the sea front. The hotel is modern with stylish furnishings and there is a small beach at the front where fishing boats are anchored and there are more beaches close by. Karavomylos is a small quiet village with only a couple of tavernas whilst Sami, only 2 kms away, is a much larger village with plenty of tavernas, restaurants and bars.

Outside there are two outdoor swimming pools, a children's pool. Guests can also play tennis and volleyball (courts are located next door to hotel). For the more active guest there is gym. Alternatively, guests can relax in the sauna or with a soothing massage (payable locally) after an active workout at the gym. You can unwind, relax and feel perfectly pampered in the hotel spa (payable locally).
