Our opinion: Basic studio accommodation, with beautiful panoramic views, peaceful location.Ideally located with picturesque views of the sea and surrounding countryside, the delightful Buena Vista Studios are furnished to a good standard. We advise you however to pack a good pair of shoes as any stay here may involve a fair bit of walking. The beach of Lourdas is around two kilometres away down a winding road. Just a five minute walk however will bring you to a selection of mini markets, tavernas and bars. The studios offer affordable and pleasant self-catering accommodation that is ideal for couples looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun. Car hire is recommended to make the most of this beautiful island.
Maria Anna Hotel
Our opinion: Traditional accommodation with scenic views.The Maria Anna Hotel offers a traditional, family run accommodation situated at the top of the resort of Lourdas. The hotel gives you scenic views overlooking either Kefalonia's highest mountain or the sea. It has its own pool for you to relax around and is situated approximately 2 kms away from the beach, which is found at the bottom of a winding road that leads you through the hilly resort. Once at the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach made up of white sand and shingle. The hotel is situated close to the resort's good selection of tavernas, bars and supermarkets. Car hire is recommended to discover the fantastic Kefalonia scenery. Please note that this property is not suitable for those with walking difficulties as it is reached by a steep access road.

Our opinion: A good standard of accommodation. The hotel is situated between the village square and the beach, both just a five minute walk away. The beach is down a steep hill.Set on the hillside nestling amongst the trees in the scenic village of Lourdas, the Lara Hotel offers a good standard of accommodation. The hotel is situated between the village square and the beach, both just a five minute walk away and down a steep hill, where you will find a few tavernas and shops. Pack a good pair of walking shoes for the winding hill roads and car hire is recommended to discover this beautiful island.

Our opinion: Good standard of accommodation in a superb location.Surrounded by greenery and on the doorstep of the beautiful beach, the Ionian Sun is a popular choice in a superb location. The hotel itself is bright with a comfortable feel throughout, providing quality accommodation and the pools and sun terrace are a superb place for a spot of sunbathing. All rooms have air conditioning, safety deposit boxes, bathroom with bath or shower, kitchenette with microwave, and a private terrace or balcony overlooking the sea. Lourdas beach of fine sand and pebbles and clear turquoise water stretches for over two miles along one of the longest bays on Kefalonia. The Ionian Sun Hotel is ideal for families, young couples and singles and those seeking a value for money accommodation.
