• Abbey of St Gerasimos - This is where the island's protector used to live as a monk.
  
  
• Angakali and Melissanthi Caves - These caves have impressive underground lakes which change colour during the day.
  
  
• The tomb of Odysseus is still being excavated. It is located outside Poros. Many locals firmly believe this Mycenaean tomb must have belonged to Odysseus, and that this great king impossibly could have ruled just the small Ithaca.
