Our opinion:
A good standard of accomodation, family run with some fantastic views.
The Pelagos Apartments consist of two separate blocks situated on the outskirts of Scala approximately 10-15 minutes walk to all the local tavernas, bars and mini markets. The elevated position makes for some great sea views. The Pelagos Apartments are ideal for families and couples looking for comfortable accommodation with a relaxed and laid back atmosphere.
Please note that this property is not suitable for those with walking difficulties. Guests will be expected to walk the last 70 metres up the steep track that leads to the property.
Most studios sleep 2/3 and are spacious with both twin and double beds (3rd bed is a camp bed) offering mountain views. Compact two bedroom apartments sleep 2/4 with inland views and one bedroom apartments sleep 2/4 with a lower ground patio area. The accommodation is split into separate blocks.

stayed at the pelagos in june 2011, standard of accomodation was superb, maids cleaned rooms daily, a family run hotel and they all work hard to make sure your stay there is a pleasant one, fantastic poolside bar and great food served, will definatley reccomend a stay in these apartments

Stayed at the Pelagos 13 to 26 June 2011. My wife and I were very impressed, especially with the cleanliness and the staff, especially Maria, the owner who was friendly and very hard working. The pool area was great although we spent every alternate day on the beach. The food was excellent at the pool bar and for once (whatever the travel company) I can honestly say the rep (Jeanette) was great. Hope to be back soon.

We stayed at the Pelagos for a week from 28 June to 5 July. We found the studio to be very clean and well maintained and much larger than we have been used to in other similar priced accommodation in and around Skala. I would highly recommend these apartments/studios, although they wouldn't be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties and they are situated about 10 minutes outside Skala and also have a pretty steep climb to the accommodation.
We have room 13 which had stunning views across to Zante.
The staff/owners were very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed here 21 - 28 June earlier this year for the second year running and hoping to return next year! Lovely apartments, really clean with stunning views and Maria is so lovely and accommodating. There's none of the scrambling for sunbeds around the pool which is a huge plus as well. I'd recommend you do the weekly BBQ that Maria runs - a huge amount of beautiful food and lovely chance to catch up with other guests. Jeanette our rep for the past two years now is lovely, always on hand for any questions and really knowledgeable about the local area. Skala itself is perfect for us - we're in our late 20s so some great bars and restaurants - would recommend the Old Village for food and Captains Bar and Bonnie & Clydes for drinks. The whole place is just so relaxing and everyone is so friendly - we never thought we'd be the type of people to go back to the same place year after year but we're hooked! The walk from the apartments into town takes about 10 minutes, and walking back to the apartments is up a short but steep hill. We found this absolutely fine and actually quite nice to not be in the centre of everything and of course have those amazing views. Would recommend Pelagos, Skala and Olympic wholeheartedly!

3 years running we have been to kefalonia, staying at pelagos apartments every time. we love the the friendly atmosphere, the size & cleanliness of the rooms. the owner & her daughter are fantastic, they remembered us, despite the number of holidaymakers they must see. the bar & pool area is great, so relaxing & always quiet. close enough to the town, it's a nice ten minute stroll, about the same to the beach. we are looking at maybe returning next year & would recommend it to anyone, although as someone else has said , it is not ideal for anyone with walking difficulties.
