Our opinion: Situated in a peaceful location, ideal for those who want to relax in the sun with a good book.
Situated just off a main road on a slight incline, the George Studios offer typically Greek style accommodation. Guests have the use of the public pool nearby. Guests can also make use of the safety deposit box and air conditioning that is provided at a local charge. The main square of Scala is 250 metres away with bars and tavernas nearby. The long shingle beach of Scala is just a 10 minute walk away. These self-catering studios offer basic but comfortable holiday accommodation which makes it perfect for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

The San Georgio Hotel, a modern complex about 3 kms outside the resort of Scala, enjoys a peaceful, elevated position overlooking St George's Bay. Staff here are helpful and friendly, and the spacious, elegant rooms offer all mod cons for a comfortable stay. Balconies or terraces have inland views, perfect for a cocktail or coffee with a good book. Two fabulous swimming pools and a children's pool make an inviting environment for relaxing, helped along with cooling drinks and snacks from the bar.
For fun between sunbathing join in tennis, table tennis, pool and the programme of entertainment which, during high season, frequently extends into the evening, after dinner, perhaps in the a la carte dining room. Take a trip into Scala for a selection of restaurants and bars, reached on the free hotel shuttle bus, by taxi or, for the intrepid, with a walk of around 45 minutes.

Our opinion: These basic well maintained studios offer a good standard of accommodation, centrally located in this charming resort.
The modern and well maintained Socrates Studios are situated just off the main Scala high street, offering a good standard of accommodation in a charming resort. All rooms are on the first or second floor and have sea or mountain views. Downstairs you will find a traditional taverna run by the owners, serving home cooked dishes. The main beach of Scala is a mere 10 minute walk away. The resort of Scala offers a relaxed atmosphere, with daily life revolving around the beautiful beach where you will find golden sands, clear waters and plenty of water sports activities available. Enjoy a warm evening strolling around the resort centre with its many cafe-bars and restaurants to discover and which is just a ten minute walk away.

Our opinion: A good standard of accomodation, family run with some fantastic views.
The Pelagos Apartments consist of two separate blocks situated on the outskirts of Scala approximately 10-15 minutes walk to all the local tavernas, bars and mini markets. The elevated position makes for some great sea views. The Pelagos Apartments are ideal for families and couples looking for comfortable accommodation with a relaxed and laid back atmosphere.
Please note that this property is not suitable for those with walking difficulties. Guests will be expected to walk the last 70 metres up the steep track that leads to the property.

Our opinion: A welcoming, cosy property with a friendly owner.
The friendly, family run Skala Hotel is located in the centre of Scala, just 2-3 minutes walk away from the centre of the resort's facilities. The resort of Scala offers a welcoming atmosphere and a choice of local and international cuisine, local shops, bars and tavernas. It is a further few minute's walk to the main beach of Scala.

Our opinion: This lovely hotel offers superb accommodation set on a hillside which slopes gently to the sea with wonderful panoramic views. This new resort really is an accommodation to be beaten.
Recommended as an ideal hotel for adults, the Mareblue Apostolata Resort & Spa Hotel offers superb accommodation for the more discerning traveler. Situated just 4 kilometres from the charming resort of Scala where there are excellent beaches and amenities, the Apostolata Resort is set on a hillside which slopes gently to the sea, offering wonderful panoramic views. The infinity pool also offers some breathtaking sea views not to be missed. Additionally, nesting grounds for the Caretta-Caretta Turtle can be found in the area. The hotel provides a complimentary bus service to Poros and Scala. The surrounding area is simply beautiful and Scala offers a stunning vast stretch of sand/shingle beach with sparkling turquoise waters. We would recommend car hire at this property to make the most of the surrounding area.

The Regina Dell Acqua Resort is an exceptionally beautiful 5-star complex built on a hillside on the south eastern edge of Kefalonia. A true architectural gem made of stone, wood and indian red roof tops, the hotel sits in perfect harmony with its beautiful surroundings. The hotel is situated opposite the main Scala shingle and sand beach. Rooms have either sea, garden or inland view. The resort centre is close by, offering a varied range of amenities and facilities.

Our opinion: Asteris Hotel is ideal for fun in the sun and a place in which to relax in a casual atmosphere and take time out.
The hotel complex Asteris is situated on the main coastal road of Skala - Poros, at the beautiful island of Kefalonia. It is located 4 kms from Skala and 8 kms from the port of Poros. It is built on an area of 12,000 m2 with breathtaking views from the village of Skala and the island of Zakynthos to the Castle of Kyllini. The Asteris Hotel has a great position, south-east, on the Greek island of Kefalonia which gives it easy access to Skala beach and resort. The hotel is bright and cheerful having studios and one bedroom apartments, fully equipped for self-catering for couples and families. This resort is a good value for money with all the essentials you need to enjoy a great Greek-island beach holiday, with comfortable furnishings and air-conditioning. The wonderful views over the island of Ithaka, Patras Bay and Zante island gives an indication of places to be explored; and Skala village is nearby with tavernas and shops. Please note due to the hillside location of this property it is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs users or those with walking difficulties.

Our opinion: Skala resort with its vast shingle and sandy beach, the southern resort of Scala is growing steadily in popularity, while retaining its friendly village atmosphere. Marina Bay hotel offers comfortable accommodation with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. It is also close to the beach, ideal for families and couples.
