Our opinion:
Close to the waterfront and all the facilities of Nidri.
The Demetra studios are well maintained and have delightful little mature garden spaces throughout the small complex. With everything you need for a great self catering holiday, they offer the perfect base for a relaxing holiday in the sun. Set on the seafront overlooking the marina of Nidri, this is a great location as it is close to all the amenities including restaurants, bars and the local bus stop.
The island of Lefkada, also called Lefkas, is the fourth largest island of the Ionian Islands. Lefkada is connected to the mainland of Greece by a long road over the narrow canal. Nidri is one of the best and most cosmopolitan resorts on Lefkada. The beach here is beautiful and offers wonderful views over many islets such as Heloni, Scorpio, and Madouri. The beach has many facilities such as restaurants, shops, tavernas and bars which ensures that any day spent at this beach is an enjoyable one.
Studios sleep 2/2 or 2/3 persons, all with bathroom with shower, kitchenette with two cooking rings, fridge, air conditioning (payable locally), TV, safety deposit box (payable locally) and a small balcony or terrace with inland view. In high season some rooms will experience road noise but this does not lessen the great location.

Lovely apartments, kept clean and tidy through out my 2 week stay. Rep was very good, and knew the area like the back of his hand. The pool area was lovely, clean and the people who ran the bar on site were so lovely. Loved it here, the weather was beautiful (we went the last 2 weeks of August) and we are coming back this year! :) x

we stayed here for 2 weeks in june and loved every minute of it, didn't like the pool bar felt like it was exclusive to Tricky and her friends, but that was the only critiscism that we had, Maria and kyriakis the old couple that run the Demetra were wonderful people and so helpful. we would retun here any time, loved nidri, loved the tavernas , loved the bars, fantastic holiday.

We were also there in June 2011 and agree with everything you say, woulld happily return to the Demetra and Nidri. Highly recommend the boat trip to the "forgotten Islands" aboard the Christina , but go steady with the on board wine, stronger than you may think as my wife would testify.

Really enjoyed our holiday. Apartment was lovely and clean and staff were friendly. The Demetra is in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops and the beach. Ideal for a relaxing holiday. We are already looking at booking again for next year.

A good place to stay location very good. Room had 2 balconies very clean on arrival. Pool very good and bar at pool reasonable prices. Good location for all restaurants within 800 yards. Vic the rep was great and his information on local area best i have received he was superb. If yoy are thinking about staying here try and get sea view room as view is fantastic. Have never been on holiday with olympic but was great and would use again.

Location very good for shops and restaurants the rooms large and clean. The staff friendly and helpful also assisted by Vic the rep who always went that extra mile. In fact everything was pretty good apart from the nocturnal activities of the bar staff and cronies (kickoff time 2am usually).

Apartments very good & the old couple who run were very friendly, location for the taverna's, shop & bakery very good as well, about a ten minute strool to the beach. Only problem is the pool bar which is run independantly loud music all day & night.........seems to be just them & there friends, no one from the apartments seem to use it plus they charged me 5 ERUO'S for a Ozuo where everywhere else was 2.50 Euro's. I'd go back to the resort again with Olympic as Vic the rep was good but I would stay elsewhere.

Apartments good value for money, basic but clean.
We had a good holiday despite the atrocious and bizarre behaviour of the independent run bar staff and their 'friends' who appeared after midnght. Lots of noise and screaming, made one wonder what they were on!
The loud music around the pool bar, started at 1pm and went on non-stop until 3am.
We were given the infamous Room 12, which would have been lovely but for the appalling behaviour of the bar owner. Fortunately after complaining to Vic, the Olympic rep, we were moved to Room 18, which was much better, but not completely free from the noise.
We enjoyed Nidri, with all that it had to offer. Vic's representations to the bar staff were ignored, on a number of ocassions. In fact it got worse as soon as he left the premises!
We would highly recommend the Mama Mia Greek restaurant, just a few doors along. Greek food at its best!
