Lefkada Town is a peaceful town built at the end of a lagoon. Excellent shopping for local specialities available. Earthquakes that have damaged the town in the past and resulted in the distinctive houses, built of wood with the upper floors covered in sheet metal. The Archaeological museum has some very fine exhibits on display.

A charming fishing village situated on the East coast, only about 5 kms south of Lefkada Town. Life here is slow and stress-free. The centre point of the village is it's little harbour where much of the Island's fresh fish arrives every day.

The surrounding area is beautiful, with nice walks into the surrounding hills which are covered in olive and trees. for a bit more to do, you can take a bicycle, bus or taxi up to Lefkada Town for the shops and nightlife.

The small pebble beaches nearby are usually quiet except for the peak season. Lygia is a good place to stay to explore the West Coast of Lefkas with it's spectacular scenery and beaches. For this it is best to book a car in advance as there are not many rental companies in the village.

Between Lygia and Perigiali, 9 kms from the capital of the island, is the wonderful picturesque fishing village of Nikiana.

Built at the foot of the Skaros mountain, it is a combination of verdant green and magical azure, which offers comfort and variety during your holiday as you can find whatever you want here.

Situated on the East Coast of Lefkas (Lefkada). Halfway between Lefkada Town (17 kms north) where the island is connected by road bridge to the mainland, and Vassiliki (21 kms south) with it's ferry connection to Keffalonia, Nydri has it's own small ferry port with ferries to Keffalonia, Ithaka and Meganissi. Nydri village has a good variety of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Restaurants vary from Chinese and Indian to Italian and International, with a good selection of traditional Greek tavernas as well. For a drink you can choose from everything from cafes to music bars, with two nightclubs open during the summer season until the early hours.
