Lefkas Town is a peaceful town built at the end of a lagoon. Excellent shopping for local specialities available. Earthquakes that have damaged the town in the past and resulted in the distinctive houses, built of wood with the upper floors covered in sheet metal. The Archaeological museum has some very fine exhibits on display.
Nidri is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan resorts of Lefkada, Nidri attracts thousands of visitors every summer and is located 17 kilometres from the capital of the island.

Holidays in Lygia
A charming fishing village situated on the East coast, only about 5 kms south of Lefkas Town. Life here is slow and stress-free. The centre point of the village is it's little harbour where much of the Island's fresh fish arrives every day.
The surrounding area is beautiful, with nice walks into the surrounding hills which are covered in olive and trees. for a bit more to do, you can take a bicycle, bus or taxi up to Lefkas Town for the shops and nightlife.
The small pebble beaches nearby are usually quiet except for the peak season. Lygia is a good place to stay to explore the West Coast of Lefkas with it's spectacular scenery and beaches. For this it is best to book a car in advance as there are not many rental companies in the village.
