You won't go far wrong choosing the Erifylli Makres Studios and Apartments, particularly if your idea of the perfect Greek holiday is comfort at low cost in authentic and scenically beautiful surroundings. With many loyal devotees returning year after year, the Erifylli seems to have got it right. These are family-run self-catering studios and apartments and the family in question could not be more helpful. Extending a warm welcome to all their guests, they are sincere in their attention and nothing is too much trouble.
In the attractive yellow-walled and terracotta-roofed accommodation comfort and cleanliness are not in question. Set amidst masses of green palms and pines, flowering shrubs and the hum of the cicadas in the summer heat, this is a little piece of paradise. The pretty pool makes a great spot for socialising with other guests, or simply lying back and chilling out. Shade is provided under the cover of the adjacent pool snack bar - a perfect place to relax and take in the scene, or enjoy a quiet read.
Surrounded by hills, the view is surprisingly green. Molyvos Castle in the distance and the white sands of Petra Beach are just two of the sights to see; you are placed midway between Molyvos and Eftalou and both are reachable on foot. Otherwise, the bus outside the apartment will whisk you to either in no time. In Molyvos Harbour, red-roofed stone houses climb the hillside above the tavernas which twinkle through the darkness at night and bustle with happy customers loving the laid-back lifestyle of this lesser known Greek island.
