Our opinion: The Petinos apartments offer a good standard of basic self catering facilities combined with friendly staff in a great location.The Petinos Apartments are just a 5 minute walk uphill from the Petinos Hotel which itself is just 2 minutes walk from from the main beach, mini market, restaurants and bars that are in the resort of Plati Yialos. Guests staying at the Petinos Apartments have full use of the faclities at the lovely Petinos Hotel, which is just a five minute walk away. Plati Yialos is a family orientated resort that lies on the sheltered south coast where the best golden sandy beaches of the island are to be found. There are plenty of seafood tavernas offering open-air terraces overlooking the sea and a lovely selection of shops to explore. Plati Yialos is one of the most cosmopolitan resorts of Mykonos, with one of the best beaches on the island. There are frequent boat trips available from Plati Yialos to some of the islandʼs most famous beaches, including Paradise beach, Super Paradise, Agrari and Elia beach. Our opinion: Ideal for a relaxing holiday.In a spectacular setting by the shimmering turquoise sea, the Mykonos Palace Hotel is located on the Plati Yialos beach. Our opinion: A lovely hotel in typical Mykonos style with fabulous views.Situated within striking distance of Platys Gialos beach, Petinos Beach Hotel built in the traditional style of Mykonos, with gleaming white faG§ades and woodwork of ultramarine. Internally, the hotel has been renovated and refurbished to contemporary elegance, the 24 rooms and suites exuding the warmth and freshness of the Cyclades, each equipped to cater to your comfort and needs and including balconies which overlook the Aegean. Have breakfast in La Pisina, the poolside restaurant and continue with the tempting array of snacks on offer throughout the day. Dinner is a candle lit affair with spectacular views of the bay from the open-air veranda at the Blue-Myth restaurant. Pick up some new dancing skills during the themed Greek nights.
