Elia Mykonos is located next to Elia and the two of them are forming a huge sandy beach, 10 kilometres from the island's capital. Elia is the longest sandy beach of Mykonos, fully organized, offering a wide choice of taverns and bars as well as water sports facilities such as water-skiing, parasailing and windsurfing.

This stunningly pretty town, with the brightly painted balconies of the white washed cube shaped houses and a maze of narrow streets, is gathered around its harbour in the middle of a wide bay. Legend has it that the streets of Mykonos town -which locals call Hora, were designed to confuse pirates, so your own confusion will be understandable.

From the harbour, you can see the main square beyond the small town beach and a cluster of buildings; we refer to it as Taxi Square. Here you'll find several travel agents, kiosks, snack bars and of course, the town's taxis stand.
The main street, Matoyanni, leads south off Taxi Square behind the church. It's narrow, but you can hardly miss the bars, boutiques, and restaurants. Several 'blocks' along it you'll find a 'major' cross street, Kaloyera, and by turning right, you'll find several hotels and restaurants. Traffic is banned from Mykonos town centre thus the character of the town has been preserved. If you get lost - and you will - remember that in Mykonos that's part of the fun. The excellent Mykonos Sky Map is free at some hotels and shops.

And then, there is the world famous nightlife. This is where the island dances till the morning, or the numerous restaurants, jewellers and boutiques. New places open and shut here every season. There is a great choice of restaurants, bars & discos.

Ornos lies in the inner most part of Ornos bay in the southwest part of Mykonos, about 3km from Mykonos Town. The beach slopes gently into the sea and is perfect for families with small children. Tourlos is a small village about a 30 minutes walk from the main village Mykonos town. It's a quiet place with not many activities. This long and narrow stretch faces west and runs the entire lenghth of this extensive bay. Known in previous years more for its hotel development than its beach facilities this area is now the location of Mykonos' newly developed commercial port and public yacht harbour. Local bus and taxi service to the area is frequent. Food and refreshments are available at either end of the bay.
