Despite its charm and beauty, its tourism industry thankfully remains low key which is Parga's real appeal. Its narrow, flagstone streets are brightly coloured houses and draped with bougainvillea and aromatic jasmine. For the more adventurous, Epirus is easily accessible along with boat trips to Paxos. Parga is also an ideal base for short trips to the surrounding villages of Aghia, Anthoussa and Trkastro, which are perched on plateaux above the fertile, mountainous countryside.

There are two golden sandy beaches either side of the main harbour front, as well as a varied choice of tavernas and bars.

Boat: Public transport is provided by water taxis, which take you to the beaches further along the coast. During the summer season, there are also ferries from Parga to Corfu, Paxos and Antipaxos.

Bus: There is a very good bus service between the other cities of Epirus with many daily routes (Preveza, Arta, Ioannina, Igoumenitsa, Sivota).
