Our opinion:
These simple studios are perfectly located for a peaceful holiday.
The Angela Studios can be found nestled among the small selection of restaurants and tavernas on the Haraki beachfront. These simple studios are perfectly located for a peaceful holiday. Agathi beach, approximately 25 minutes walk, is one of the best sandy beaches on the island. The studios are open-plan and of a good size. It is ideal for both families and couples alike looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
Studios sleep 1/2 & 1/3 people with twin or double beds, open plan kitchenette with cooking rings, a private bathroom with shower and a balcony. Some rooms have air conditioning (payable locally).
Haraki is an unspoilt gem to some extent, however over the years the home cooked restuarants are gradually turning into fast food with not much individuality. We found the rooms very clean and adequate in regards to kitchen equipment. The accommodation had been freshly painted for the new season. The lack of preference for which room you get can be disturbing. In order for the owners/holiday firm to deliver good customer service they must be honest when taking bookings. The middle rooms in this building are really not fit for purpose. Although reasonable in size there is not any adequate ventalation, and could cause serious problems with anyone that has even the slightest respitory problem. (bear in mind that we went at the start of the season, before the soaring temps) They really are cell like with a meshed "window"/opening in the wall that leads into the corridor. In terms of anyone with the slightest mobility/weight issue, then this is not the place for you . The steps in the building are far too narrow. If it were possible (even at a surcharge) to request either front or back room that would be fine. We were fortunate that in booking two rooms one got a seaview and one got the "inner" room, thus enabling us to gather, except for sleeping into one room. Had this not been the case our holiday would have been totally spoilt and no amount of fans or air con at any price could compensate for the feeling of claustrophobia.
