Our opinion: Great value for a comfortable stay in the beautiful bay of Ixia.
The Bel Air is a good value, comfortable hotel situated in the famous bay of Ixia. It sits directly facing an excellent sandy beach with majestic mountains behind it. The area is known for its stunning scenery and fabulous beaches with crystal clear sea. Here water sporting opportunities abound and boat trips and excursions are a regular feature. A few mintues walk will find an array of shops, restaurants and tavernas.
Rooms are spacious and modern with all you need for a restful holiday including balconies many of which have views out over the beautiful bay. On days when you don't feel like venturing out to explore the locale, you'll find a lovely, newly renovated swimming pool, an enticing expanse of turquoise sparkling in the sun, with the inevitable sun loungers and parasols surrounding it. Refreshments are available from the snack bar, and there is also a mini market for any last minute holiday extras.
Children won't be bored either: they have their own pool and a playground to charge around in, and the entertainment programme aims to please every member of the family. But favourite of all is ice-cream time, in the morning and again in the afternoon when cookies also appear. Luckily, you can hire a bike and set off to pedal off all those extra calories while checking out the pretty coves and villages around the coast. When it comes to food, a buffet is laid out three times a day and there is also an a la carte restaurant for dinner, after which you can adjourn to the lobby bar for late drinks.
