Lindos Gardens is lovely place to stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice pools etc. We love it there. The food and drink on site is expensive though, especially for soft drinks; 2.80e a can of pop, ice creams about 2e each. Chips and snacks not cheap (6.40 for a pizza at the Infinity Pool Bar, plate of chips 4e). Full english breakfast about 9e although there is a deal if you pay for three days.
I recommend you get your provisions from the supermarkets around the corner and self cater during the day. Evenings you can eat cheaply or expensive in the village; the choice and quality is brilliant!
Make sure you hit happy hour at the bar! Jack the bartender is a lovely guy and it's buy one get one free on beers, wines and long drinks from 6.30pm to 8.30pm! A large Mythos beer is 3.50e. Good value start to the night!
Taxi from the village at night is 4/5 e up the hill.
Lindos isn't a bargain basement option but it's a great resort; enjoy!

Just returned after a fantastic week at Lindos Gardens, we were in a wedding party of 18 and everyone said they would return which tells its own story. Our apartments were at the top section of the hotel and although tiring we never found it to be a problem but the elderly would struggle and would be better on the bottom levels. The staff were fabulous and the accommodation was clean if a little basic, the bar area had all the SKY channels so we didnt miss the beginning of the football season and there was a happy 2 hour everyday between 6.30pm-8.30pm. Aircon was a whopping 70 euros per week per room but was essential as the heat was scorching. I cannot wait to return and am looking into it right now for next June......go on treat yourself its worth it and im sure you will love it as much as we all did.

Just spent two weeks at Lindos Gardens. Fantastic base for spending a holiday in Lindos, ok its a bit of a walk to/from the village but need to work off all that ice-cream somehow! Had a one bedroomed apartment with additional two single beds in a large lounge area, shower over bath - wet room style (no shower curtain), basic kitchen set up and equipment as per most self catering accommodation, actually had a draining board on the sink which was a first but no toaster which was also a first. Maid service daily for emptying rubbish bins, towels and bedding changed approx every three days. As it was a two room apartment it had two sets of patio doors leading onto a large balcony which had a lovely view of the Acropolis, which is beautiful by day with the sun rising over it or by night when it is lit up and surrounded by stars. No clothes airer was provided which is unusual. Air con was expensive and if you have two rooms like we did then you have to pay for two aircon units but second one is at half price. We managed without as it can be too much of a contrast once you leave the comfort of aircon and venture outside. Not mentioning food/drinks prices at the bar/on site shops as other people have covered that. We self catered throughout the day and then went out to eat each evening picking up supplies for the next day at one of the supermarkets on the way back to the complex. Staff friendly and helpful, reported faulty bathroom light and it was sorted within the hour. Hope this review is of use to future guests.

Have just returned from two weeks at Lindos Gardens. This was our fifth time at this friendly hotel and we will definitely be returning. It is quite expensive for a 3 star resort, food and drinks are slightly more expensive than in the village and things like aircon and safety deposit boxes as payable extras soon add up but the staff and the location are fantastic. There are two good-sized pools to choose from, one near the bar area, more suitable for families and the infinity pool, higher up and much quieter for those who want to relax in a spectacular setting; as well as two smaller pools for young children. It is only a 15-20 minute walk into the village or to St Pauls Bay but you have to be ready for the steep walk back from either. For those who want to self-cater a supermarket is about 5 mins walk. A great base for Lindos and the south of Rhodes if you are not counting the pennies.

Have just returned from one weeks at Lindos Gardens. This was our first time at the hotel and at this resort and overall we had a lovely time, though some of my comments may not reflect that fact.I agree with other reviewers that whilst it is an exceptionally clean complex and the staff are friendly, it is a touch over priced in terms of the added extras.
Our room was at the top of the complex and whilst the walk was up a steep incline, it wasn't over bearing... but having got to our room we found the air con was possibly the worst performing unit we've experienced anywhere in the world. There were two units in our room and to hire both for a week would have cost us 115 Euros..which is a disgrace. We took up the option for one working unit at 70 Euros (still a disgrace!)..i'd have swallowed it better if it actually felt like the thing was on!
Food and drink is quite a bit more expensive than in town, yet the inhouse BBQ was offered at a bargain of 12.50 Euros a head (no concessions)..so with one round of drinks, it would have cost my family of 4 over 60 Euros for that event (where the food was NOT plentiful). We opted to avoid and went into town where every night we ate and drank very well for under 50 Euros.
There were not enough sunbeds and if you got to the pool after 10am then you'd likely had it! The pools were great and not child specific as advertised which we were thankful for and there were 2 supermarkets close by with bargain prices - FAR FAR cheaper than the onsite mini market.
Staff were polite and friendly and the above did not taint the holiday.

Stayed here August 2011.Description of rooms and resort accurate Got a good holiday price and aware of cost of aircon before booked so no suprises and still a good deal. Great location, only 5 mins walk to supermarket and about 10 mins walk to centre of Lindos. Only ate a couple of times in hotel but found food prices to be OK and enjoyed both meals. Happy hour from 6.30 to 8.30pm made drinks very reasonable, 3 euros 50 for 2 large beers. Thoroughly enjoyed this holiday. Would definitely stay here again if returned to Lindos and hope to do so in the future.

My partner and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at lindos gardens. We had a great time and the gardensare in a brilliant location. rooms are basic but extremely clean and well maintained. the facilities are good but be prepared to pay for air con which in my opinion should ld have been free as the temperature was quite high. & All in all lindos gardens is extremely good value for money and when we return to lindos we will definitely choose lindos gardens.

Just spent an excellent week and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Very clean and convenient location. Pool was good and cleaned daily. Apartments usual basic Greek equipment but did have a kettle! A toaster would be nice. We had apartment very close to the bar and pool and Monday night was 'karaoke' night! It finished at 11.45 which was reasonable but Macbeth's witches stayed on cackling loudly at the bar till 2.00am! Would recommend talking some earplugs in case you have similar inconsiderate guests. Thought cost of aircon much too high and did without. We slept with balcony door open which was OK as we were upper floor. Ground floor rooms would be a little hot I expect. Overall an excellent place to stay and would be our first choice in the future.

I loved the Lindos Gardens. Apartments clean and well serviced. Staff excellent. Beautiful, clean swimming pools. Could do with some cushions on the sunbeds around the infinity pool. We ate breakfast or lunch most days in the hotel and was never disappointed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone except people with mobility difficulties, as there are a lot of steep slopes and steps around. In fact the whole of Lindos could be a nightmare for anyone with walking difficulties. My negative comments are that I had a far inferior room to the one friends of mine, staying at the same time, had but paid the same price for. For anyone thinking of staying at Lindos Gardens, avoid staying in the A block if you like to get to sleep early as you may be disturbed by the karaoke etc..

Lindos Gardens, apartments are wll thought out, spacious, clean and well stocked for your self catering hol. The staff, Reception could not be more helpful will help you with anything, Bars great staff friendly and nothing is too much trouble, Cleaners efficient, friendly and do a good and professional job. Gardens kept nice. Pools clean and the sunbeds (fantastic) best l've ad. Location nice quiet only ten minutes walk down hill to village, but you may need a taxi back. If you have walking or health difficulties then text and ask for a room on the lower slopes, l did and had a great room just at the bottom of the hill. Entertainment, something for everyone, live music, Karaoke, barbque, Sky TV, Pool Table. I had a great holiday at the Lindos Gardens and would reccommend it to anyone. Fantastic Place. Lindosron

Stayed here beginnig of September. Weather was hot, but did without the air con this time. Just left the balcony door open. Didn't end up with a cold like I normally do so enjoyed holiday a lot more. Most of the things have been covered by other reviews here. I would, however, like to add that a torch is a must as the complex isn't well lit and neither is the walk to the village whether going down Krana Hill or past Atmosphere Bar. Happy Hour is excellent as previouslky mentioned - you get 2 drinks for the price of 1 and the two drinks have to be the same i.e. 2 wines, 2 beers, 2 VATs. You can't do one beer and one wine.
There is an area with a large t.v. screen opposite the bar. Here there are a couple of shelves where people leave books and magazine they have finished with, which othes can borrow. Only found this while waiting for the return coach pick-up, which was a pity as I had chucked all my mags and books away.
The other thing I noticed is that Lindos Gardens is more for families, couples and groups of friends. If you are travelling on your own you will stick out like a sore thumb.
i have been to lindos three times in the past 20 years it is the most amazing place
