Our opinion: Ino Village offers warm hospitality and a friendly atmosphere in this enchanting, traditional hotel.

The charming Ino Village Hotel has bagged itself a glorious spot on a hillside in Kalami, with stunning views over Samos Bay. Sitting pretty among beautiful gardens, its two-storey buildings are ranged around a central courtyard with balustraded steps leading off it. Here you will find large arches, hanging baskets and vines and all around are terracotta pots overflowing with flowers and wooden tables and chairs in the sunshine. In the centre is the hotel's inviting swimming pool, as welcoming in the heat as the friendly staff looking after you. A separate children's pool gives little ones freedom to splash around to their hearts' content. Snacks and cocktails are available throughout the day from the bar and at mealtimes, guests in the enchanting vine-covered Elea Veranda Restaurant gaze over Samos and the Mediterranean laid out below and the stunning island's mountains shimmering in the distance.

Rooms are comfortable and appealing, furnished to be modern and restful, with sliding doors on to spacious balconies. These overlook the pool, the gardens or the sea and it's a toss up which view is the prettiest. From the hotel, it is 900 metres downhill to the port and town with its picturesque streets, quaint shops, lively bars and dance clubs. Gangou beach and the beautiful coastline is just 450 metres away. Sit among the locals with morning coffee in the kafeneon and let the relaxation begin; you can be sure your holiday here will fulfill its brief and send you back fully rested and restored.
