The village of Perissa is one of the most beautiful resorts on the island and is popular because of its dark , sandy beaches and its range of watersports available. The resort is set against a backdrop of imposing mountains. It is very spread out, ending in a very busy beach with lively tavernas and beach bars. To try the local wine is a must. The resort attracts a lot of backpackers but appeals to all tastes, offering peace and quiet and relaxing days on the beach.

Hot Springs: Possible to visit by boat and a fantastic way to relax on your holiday. Here you can soak up the therapeutic mud and enjoy a leisurely swim. Located at Palea Kameni, next to Nea Kameni (old burnt one), which is the volcano.
Ancient Thira: The site of Ancient Thira is situated on the rocky headland of Mesa Vouno, 370 metres above sea level on the southeast coast. This site was re-colonised after the great eruption.
Akrotiri: An ancient Minoan city, located in the village of the same name, where excavations still continue to this day. There is also a castle (Goulas) which is now ruined (after the Turkish invasion in 1617).
Fira: The capital of Santorini with the spectacular architecture of its dazzling white houses. The volcano lies exactly opposite, still emitting puffs of steam. The town is situated 27.5 metres above sea level.
Things to do on a Holiday in Perissa
Fira: An abundance of bars, shops, cafes and tavernas, some offering views of the Caldera. Beautiful cobbled streets, mixing old with new. Some night clubs to dance the night away.
Oia: Hosts the most fantastic view on Santorini. Spectacular sunsets. Beautiful white washed and blue domed houses. This is the most picturesque village in Greece so ensure you do not forget your camera.
Pyrgos: Large village retaining its medieval features. Highest point on the island.
Walking: Recommended throughout the island. Push bikes can be rented too.
Getting Around on Perissa Holidays
Boat: There are direct ferries leaving from Santorini to Ios (1 hr) & Crete (6 hrs) with connecting ferries Paros (3hrs) Mykonos (5hrs)
Bus: Frequent bus services are available for throughout the island connecting the villages of Santorini with Fira.
Car: Rent a car or jeep from our representatives in Santorini.

Santorini has a spectacular collection of gold and silver designs. The gold is the equivalent of 14 carat. Most popular designs are items such as dolphins and axes.

Perissa and Perivolos beach is a long stretch of black volcanic sand with the 2 beaches merging into one. There are a variety of watersports on perivolas beach.
