Our opinion: Get away from it all at the Amalia Apartments, with green surroundings and a friendly rool area.In a rural location through a pine forest a short distance from the main road to Koukounaries , this delightful complex of apartments, studios and maisonettes is set among lovely gardens with a real get-away-from-it-all feel. In attractive white-washed buildings, simple but comfy apartments with dark woods, white linen and diaphanous curtains at French windows offer a cool retreat from the heat. Outside are a swimming pool, sun terrace and bar manned by George, the extraovert owner. Join in karaoke, pool, table football, darts, or be a Sky Sports spectator. Safe and sandy Koukounaries beach is just over a km away with tavernas on the way and enchanting Skiathos Town can easily be reached on a pleasant bus ride. On late nights in town, it's recommended you take a torch to help find your way back .
Caravos Hotel
Our opinion: A large family focused hotel with easy access to the best beaches on the island.Surrounded by woodland and spaciously set in attractive gardens, the Caravos Hotel is the ideal choice for beach lovers, as six of the best beaches to be found in Skiathos are all close by. A few bars, restaurants and shops can be found within a five minute walk but for a wider selection and lively night life Skiathos Town is approximately seven miles away.
Mousses Hotel
Our opinion: This is an excellent location and a delightful property ideal for families and couples.The Hotel Mousses is a well maintained accommodation located just 400 metres from the famous golden sandy beach of Koukounaries. Hotel provides comfortable and tastefully decorated guest rooms, all featuring telephone, fridge, radio, a private bathroom with shower and a balcony or terrace. During the day guests can unwind on the beach or alternatively enjoy a refreshing dip in the hotel's inviting pool, which is surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. There is a poolside snack bar, where hotel guests can enjoy a refreshing cold drink by the pool. The hotel's main restaurant invites guests to enjoy mouthwatering meals, consisting of local and international dishes, prepared to your delight. There are many shops, bars and restaurants that can be found nearby and there is a variety of water sports available at the beach (payable locally). The hotel is located approximately 12 kilometres from Skiathos Town and the airport.
Skiathos Palace Hotel
Our opinion: This hotel affords stunning panoramic views over Koukounaries with a tranquil pool area to relax and unwind.In a picturesque hillside location, the Skiathos Palace Hotel commands spectacular views of Koukounaries Bay. The spacious pool area and surrounding gardens are first class for those who enjoy their relaxation in a scenic setting. It is less than a 5 minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach and 15 minutes to the nearest tavernas and mini-markets. Skiathos Town shouldn't be missed and is just over 10 km away. There is a free courtesy bus from the hotel.

The hotel is in a great location for beach lovers as the main beach is just a 20 minute walk away, offering fine white sands and clear waters against a backdrop of forest greenery. A mini market and a taverna can be found within a 5 minute walk and there is a bus stop close by.
