Our opinion:
Modern apartments overlooking the Vale of Pedi. Simple but very clean and well maintained.
These Symian village apartments overlook the Vale of Pedi. A few minutes walk will take you to the village of Chorio with its sprinkling of tavernas and bars. Pedi's shingle beach is a twenty minute walk away. The accommodation is very clean and well maintained with the friendly owners living next door. These apartments are perfect for anyone seeking a taste of traditional Greece and lots of rustic charm. Due to the number of steps this accommodation is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.
Studios (1/2 persons) with air conditioning (payable locally), twin or double beds, open plan kitchenette (cooking rings), private bathroom with shower and a shared terrace. Apartments (2/4 and 2/3 persons) with a private terrace or balcony. Maisonettes (2/4 persons) are also available. Please note that luggage will be dropped off at the nearest possible point. Guests will be responsible for their own luggage after this.
The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable, with air conditioning. Friendly local owners who can recommend restaurants, beaches etc. Best day out was the boat trip around the island, including a visit to the Panoramis (old monastry) and a barbecue. Beaches can be walked to or catch a water taxi to more isolated small coves. Symi is very hilly. Don't book these apartments if you are not prepared to walk up and down hundreds of steps when you want to go to the harbour, town or beaches. Definately not for the disabled or for younger children or babies with buggies. Super hot in August. Water limited. Despite these features this is the best place to stay in Greece. Don't tell too many others!

Have stayed here seven times - our idea of heaven. Walking the steps to the harbour and back 2/3 times a day we return to the UK with different shaped bodies! Much better than any gym!!

Have stayed there many times and love to feel that we're in the heart of the Greek community. Fabulous views over Pedi Bay and towards the village. In 2009 we booked three units and took our family with us for a big birthday celebration! Between us, we took our granddaughter (then aged 6 months) out and about in her buggy and never once used the Symi bus. Things would have been different with a little one on the move.

Anastasia apartments was excellent and this because of the landlady! She is helpful and will always be there for help. The accommodation is basic but you get what you pay and is not bad at all. The view is wonderful no matter in which room you will be.The neighbors are also very approachable and make you feel like home.

Anastasia was such an excellent Greek lady therefore you would not expect anything less regarding the Anastasia apartments. Value for money and the view is great no matter in which room you are. My fiancee and I had a great time and we felt like we have been there before because of the hospitality and welcoming of the locals. It is a very safe area, very traditionally Greek, you have a supermarket and a bakery only few meters away and you just need to take a road down to the beach approximately 15 minutes walk but there is also the local bus for 1 euro! Symi is a wonderful island, not spoiled by the mass tourism. Because of planning permission there are not big hotels. The available accommodation is very similar, therefore you have nothing to loose if you book at Anastasia's apartments.

Basic apartments with good view. Would have preferred more floor cleaning and bin emptying but a nice apartment and easy enough to get to. Would stay again if returning to Symi but in upper apartments for more privacy and quietness. If walking to harbour be prepared for over 600 steps (there and back!)

An absolute magical and charming holiday! The Anastasia apartments were very clean with a fantastic shower with all required utensils for a self-catering holiday. Anastasia herself was on hand for anything we needed. We were extremely impressed. The views across Pedi Bay and up into Chorio were breathtaking - despite it being listed as an "inland view". The shared balcony made getting to know other holiday-makers and sharing experiences easy which we considered as a plus to the layout. Location was close to the excellent bakery and also 2 supermarkets. The Olympic rep, Justine, was an excellent source of inspiration and information - she truly loved Symi herself. Walks to Pedi Bay and the Harbour were a continuous magical tour of Symi and as such, the effort to do so (in mid-August heat) was well worthwhile - we loved it! There were plenty of tavernas etc to 'rest' along the way ;)

The upstairs apartments each have their own balcony. No. 5 is very spacious and set back from the other two, whilst No. 6 and No. 7 have adjacent balconies.

Hi Fiona, There are no pools on Symi due to their water supply being shipped in from Rhodes

I have been going to Symi for 28 years, first time I have stayed at Anastasia apartments although I met her many years ago when she used to be a taxi driver! Her English is good and she is very helpful. Apartments are basic but typical Greek accommodation in the village community with two supermarkets, a bakery and a good butchers nearby. I stayed in the apartment and had a private verandah, only critiscm would be to have some comfortable sun chairs/beds to be able to sit out and enjoy the views. We were there for the last two weeks of August and it was very hot, you definitely need to pay for the air conditioning which is extra.
