These well maintained and modern studios offer an excellent standard of accommodation in a quiet and peaceful location. Set back from the resort, these studios are only a short stroll to Galissas beautiful beach and amenities. The studios offers a welcoming ambience and provide a lovely outdoor swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, or guests can just kick back on the nearby beach. Alternatively guests can venture out and explore the island with all it has to offer. The Galissa Studios are ideal for lazy days by the pool and relaxing by the beach.
Galissas has a wonderful beach with fine sand as well as some shade provided by the salty pine trees. The well known hill of Saint Pakou with the picturesque little church, the port with its boats gently bobbing up and down and the wonderful stone peer are all places where guests can enjoy a pleasant walk especially at dusk with the magnificent sunset.
Twin bedded studios (sleeping up to 2 people). Other rooms available: Studios (sleeping up to 3 people) with one double bed and one single bed. Studios (sleeping 2/4 people) with inland view, twin bedded maisonettes (sleeping up to 4 people) on two levels, one bedroom apartments (sleeping 2/4 people) with inland view. All rooms have shower, kitchenette (with two cooking rings), TV, telephone, air conditioning and private balcony or terrace. Please note: A torch is recommended for returning home at night.
stayed in july 2011 had the most amazing time super relaxing and so friendly, apartments are extreamly well maintained and the cleanleness is the best ,beachs are so user frendly, staff are very careing friendly very hard to beat

Hiya, Have just read your review and wonder if you could tell me a bit more about Syros. Had another fabulous holiday in Greece this year and have started to plan for the next one! Love the Cyclades but have never been to Syros. Thanks, Sue, Eastbourne.

hi yes it is just like greece use to be. we stayed at galissas at the galissa studios which we can not recomend enough, more than excellent in all departments, beach is lovely and very user friendly with no water sports, being proper sand very shallow for a long way out which makes it lovely and warm. tervernas are really nice great food and very friendly with out being over powering(just as it use to be) great bus service one price for all, main habour is cosmopolitan but in the old way, superb. very relaxing island very few ruins to see but lots of churches. many beaches accessable by foot only but no probs. our first holiday with out our children and was perfect, just right mix of young and old and mainly familys, if you like the old greece it is perfect. also everyone in the other apartments and lots of people we chatted to had been there befor haveing done all the usual islands and stating they had not found anywhere else like it! which is as good as it gets for us hope this helps ps keep it to yourselves as we dont want to spoilt .....he he

hi Just read your comments we have been on Greek hols for years but went to Cuba this year. Very nice but not Greece. Was their many tavernas /bars in resort and was it easy to get to capital and around island. Thx Mick and Jackie

Syros is a beautiful island. It is the commercial capital of the cyclades but still unspoilt. The town is easy to reach by local bus or taxi at a cost of 10 euros. The town itself is beautiful and full of history. To explore the island you do need to hire a car and the resort of Kini is just a few miles away from Galissas but well worth a visit, if only for the fish restaurants.

Stayed August, 2011 and had a wonderful time. Could not find fault in any way. Location is ideal - 2 minutes to the nearest taverna and four minutes to the beach. Studios are kept wonderfully clean and well mainitained. Towels are changed every second day. Could not recommend more highly.

I completely agree with the earlier comments - wonderful! However, Yannis needs to prune his bouganvillea severely before it completely encloses some balconies and blocks the sun.
Olympic's arrangements for travel were lacking, however. Seven hours in Mykonos were about five too many and the charge to deposit luggage steep.

Journey here was excellent could not be faulted, plane on time, boat on time, the apartments were as excellent as described with Yannis and his wife being one of the best hosts we have ever experienced on holiday, the apartments clean and nice surroundings, the beach was excellent, even the journey home was a pleasure everything on time and no waiting, all-in-all the best holiday we have had in 25 years!
