Things to do on a Holiday in SyrosDrive to the sandy Agathopes beach for a swim, or to the resort of Galissas for windsurfing and waterskiing. Hire a fishing boat and explore the small caves and coves in the north of the island Enjoy the opera productions that take place in the Apollon theatre during peak season. Grammata Beach Cruise: One day boat excursion. We will leave from Galissas and sails along the west coast of Syros. Getting Around on Greece - Syros HolidaysFerry: Syros is connected daily with Piraeus (Athens airport) (4 hours with a ferry, 2 hours with a catamaran), Tinos, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Amorgos. Four times a week with Andros, Santorini, and Ios. Three times a week with Folegandros and Sikinos. Taxi: You will find many taxis in Ermoupoli at Miaoulis Square and at the dock. Bus: The buses of the public bus company (KTEL) serve all the areas near Ermoupoli (Ano Syros, Vrontado, Dili) and all the villages. Car Hire: Car hire can be organised locally on the island.
