The archaeological museum in Thassos Town (Limenas) offers exquisite sculptures, ceramics, coins and pots dug up from all across the island, many of which come from the ancient town of Alyki, where the course of history has not been disturbed since the 7th century BC. Visit Polygnotos Vagis's museum at Potania and see the works of this great twentieth century sculptor.

Set off on a biking adventure through the olive groves and discover the breathtaking mountainous scenery that awaits you. Getting Around on Thassos Holidays
Please note that Thassos has no airport and so our flexi flights for this island go to Kavala airport on the mainland. This is 18 kms from the port of Keramoti on the mainland. The ferry journey is 35 mins in length running every half hour to Thassos Town (Limenas) port in Thassos. The entire journey for the transfer incl waiting and the journey on Thassos to the hotels is approx 90 minutes.
Thassos Town (Limenas) is well served by a regular ferry shuttle from Keramouti. There are also daily ferries from Skala Prinos to mainland Kavala.
A road follows the coast around much of Thassos giving easy access to most beaches by car or bus.
