The simply furnished Hera Apartments on the outskirts of Laganas are a great choice for groups of friends keen to be near the centre of things, but with somewhere comfortable, clean and quiet for morning-after recuperation. The simply-furnished but modern apartments are located in a quiet side road just off the main route into the resort centre. Located approximately 3km from the beach (a 25 minute walk) and 2km from the resort centre, though long in the heat of the day, in the evening it's a cool and pleasant stroll with plenty of bars and restaurants en-route. If you're allergic to even this amount of exertion, taxis can be hailed nearby or booked at reception. A lively resort, Laganas is a popular destination with singles planning to party the nights away with other like-minded holidaymakers.
By day, when you emerge bleary-eyed into the sunshine, you can stretch out after a satisfying breakfast and soak in the rays by the pool. When the munchies strike later on, a Greek salad or another snack from the pool bar will help you refuel.
Boat trips can be taken around the island, stopping at various points around the coast - a lovely way to spend the day. Back at the hotel, pop into your clean, spacious room to prepare for another night of fun. As you head out, stop off at the Hera bar for an aperitif. If you're back before 3am, you may find guests still there, and rejoin them for a nightcap; life is laid-back here at the Hera.
