Important Notes about Weddings in Greece |

| The Certificate of No Impediment, together with the birth certificates (full), any name changes documents or decree absolutes, should be sent to the Foreign Office to be legalised. This takes approximately 10 days and costs £30 per document (price correct at time of going to press), payable by debit card online. | ||||
| Once the documents have been legalised, they should be sent to one of the two independent translators approved by the Greek Embassy. There is a charge of £30 per document for translation and £20 per document (prices correct at time of going to press) to be stamped by the Embassy. Payment is accepted in cash, postal orders or bankers draft - No cheques. This process takes approximately 10-14 days. An administrtaion fee of £20 is also payable. |

| Once this process has been completed, please post copies to the weddings department 5 weeks prior to your departure. All originals to be taken with you - originals of all documentsa are kept in resort. | ||||
| Please note the certificate of no impediment should record the district where weddings will take place and not the resort of the accommodation. | ||||
| Please note: Weddings in Rhodes - all documents are to be sent to Rhodes to be translated. Please send copies to the Weddings Department at least 5 weeks prior to the wedding date so that we can forward them to Rhodes for you. Documents cost between €60.00 and €80.00 per item to be translated and this is payable in resort. Please note all prices are current and are liable to change. NB. We recommend that you translate your marriage certificate into English. You can contact one of the above translators. Cost is approximately £50 to translate and certify. |
