Our opinion: The San Cristobal is situated in a fantastic location near the beach and not far from the historic monuments, making it ideal for anyone looking for a beach and culture holiday.

San Cristobal is located in the town centre of Marbella and just 250 metres from the beach. It is a cosy and beautiful establishment and its location offers many alternatives in exploring the area. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated in order to provide maximum relaxation and comfort. The hotel features among others a bar, a restaurant and has conference facilities. San Cristobal is a lovely hotel in a great location and will definitely leave a lasting impression. The distance to the airport of Malaga is 60 kilometres.

This 3-storey hotel comprises 331 well-equipped rooms. Guests are provided with an foyer with a 24-hour reception, shops as well as a souvenir shop, bars, 2 conference rooms, and a playground. The inviting restaurant is air-conditioned and offers high chairs for younger guests. Surrounded by communal gardens, the hotel's fantastic outdoor themed swimming pool has water slides and a whirlpool. Our opinion: Great choice for families and couples looking for a location near the action but not right in it.

For a great family holiday with minimum effort, the VIME Reserva de Marbella is a great choice: hotel to relax and have fun in, situated quietly, away from the main cut and thrust of livelier resorts, but with plenty to please on site. You can't miss the fabulous two swimming pools surrounded by grassy areas and sunbathing terraces where blue sun loungers entice. A fringe of pines create shady paths among olives, palms and tropical succulents. On days spent chilling out, hard-working staff keep cool cocktails coming and, in the high heat of the day, escape to the plantation-style pool bar where a grass roof shades wicker chairs. Once inside, a spotless, spacious reception greets you and an attractive dining room where buffet meals are served at lunch and dinner. A terrace with table and chairs looks down over the pools - a great place for an aperitif or nightcap. Rooms at the Reserva are very large indeed, with a real home-from-home feel. Most are on two floors in a row of terraced town houses opposite the inviting gardens. It's not just about taking it easy; get to know your fellow guests in the games room where billiards, darts and table-tennis will rouse your competitive spirit, or slip to the fitness centre to shape up. When you venture forth, you'll find a beach 20 minute's walk, or a short ride away. Buses and taxis from outside the hotel will whisk you off to Marbella centre, Puerto Banus, Fuengirola, or one of the many superb golf courses in the area in no time. Please note that some parts of the hotel are on a steep hill and therefore it may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.
