Our opinion: Its superb location make the Bayview and excellent choice for a lively beachside break.The Bayview Hotel occupies a favoured spot beachside next to the promenade in Sliema. Shops, bars, restaurants and attractions are all within easy walking distance making this an excellent choice for a lively, hassle-free time. Cheerful, air-conditioned rooms all have a balcony or terrace, but make for the 7th floor to find the rooftop swimming pool and fabulous views of the surrounding area. The large terrace is great for sunbathing with a pool bar standing by with refreshments. When mealtimes come around, choose between three restaurants: a buffet laid out three times a day, the Chinese or Indian a la carte. Inside is a further small pool, a fitness room, sauna, TV and games room. After a night out, reception is open round the clock and the lounge bar too, for a nightcap or a coffee.
Preluna Hotel
This modern hotel offers an excellent location in the heart of Sliema, right on the 2 kilometre-long seafront and only 180 metres from the shopping centre. The Preluna's private beach club offers guests a lovely seawater lido built with natural rocks to create the ideal space for relaxation. There is also direct access to the clear shallow waters of the sea for those who wish to try snorkelling. For those seeking a more active holiday, there is a good variety of watersports on offer. All rooms have been totally refurbished and new facilities have recently been added.
