The Maria Rousse Studios are set back in a quiet location amidst lovely gardens. These self catering studios are bright and spacious, and have a large pool and sun terrace, with a pool bar and TV lounge with views of the mountains. However, the lively resort of Malia with its fantastic selection of bars, shops, tavernas and clubs is within a short walking distance. The sandy beach of Malia is just 900 metres away.
Blue Dreams
Our opinion: A family run complex with a personal touch.Set back from the national highway, this friendly, family run complex is only 50 metres from the sea and is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday. The studios have a pool and a snack bar with meals available all day. Guests can enjoy BBQ nights with local cuisine and music under the stars around the pool or even quiz and karaoke nights. A supermarket and taverna are within walking distance and the complex is 12 kilometres from Rethymnon centre.
Princess Annex
Our opinion: This friendly accommodation is in a fantastic location for the lively nightlife of Malia.The Princess Studios & Annexe are located just a 2 minute walk from the top of Beach Road, where you will find supermarkets, shops and all of the bars and clubs of Malia. Malia Beach is a 15-20 minute walk away. Malia is a vibrant resort with plenty of bars and night clubs, making it a great choice for those who want to dance the night away. Malia beach offers a lively atmosphere and a great selection of water sports. This friendly accommodation is a great choice for groups of friends seeking fun in the sun!
Villa Condessa
Our opinion: Well maintained accommodation in a beautiful part of Malia with lovely owners.These extremely attractive and well maintained studios and apartments are situated in the picturesque old village of Malia. Situated in a quiet location the property is close to the traditional tavernas and bars of the resort, however just a five minute walk will also bring you to the bustling life of the beach road area where there are numerous discos, bars, restaurants and shops. The owners take great pride in their property and are sure to welcome you with a 'Raki' or two.
Zygos Apartments
Our opinion: Traditional, family run accommodation within easy reach of amenities.These traditional, family-run apartments are situated on the outskirts of the traditional fishing village of Sissi, with its famous mountain plateau, set amongst attractive gardens. The apartments and studios are clean and well appointed with all of the modern amenities required for a self catering holiday. In the outdoor area guests will find an inviting rooftop swimming pool with sun terrace, which provides an ideal spot to spend lazy days in the sun. Onsite facilities include reception, internet access (payable locally), and a games room. The Zygos Apartments are great for couples. Conveniently close to the supermarket and only a 10 minute walk to the village centre and harbour beach, there are restaurants and tavernas within walking distance of the apartments.
Koumaros Studios
Our opinion: Comfortable, simple accommodation in an ideal location.The pleasant Koumaros Studios are set back off the busy beach road in Stalis in a quiet area. The studios are conveniently located a five to ten minute walk from tavernas, restaurants, bars, shops and discos, and five minutes away there is a golden sandy beach. The accommodation offers basic self catering facilities and with friendly owners. The excellent location of the Koumaros Studios is hard to beat and it is ideal for beach lovers seeking relaxing days on a beautiful sandy beach which is just moments away.
Eleni Studios
Our opinion: This family run complex is well equipped, beautifully maintained and ideally based for those who want to be close to the resorts amenities.Set on the main road into the resort of Aghios Nikolaos, this family run complex is an ideal base for those who want to be close to the amenities of the resort. Supermarkets, tavernas and shops are a few minutes walk away and the centre of town is 15 minutes away. A small sandy beach is a 10 minute walk down a steep hill. The accommodation is well equipped and beautifully maintained by the friendly owners. Please note: This property is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties due to the stairs that lead to most of the apartments.
Vergina Studios
Our opinion: Simple accommodation set in a good location with a pleasant pool area.Situated on the old national highway, approximately 2 kms from Hersonissos this simple, basic accommodation with pool and garden area is in an excellent location from which to explore the neighbouring resorts. The friendliness and service offered by the owners will make you feel at home from your first day. The Veregina is renowned for their excellent meals all of which are cooked using products grown from their own farm. Due to its location a torch is required at night.
Kavos Bay Apartments
Our opinion: This accommodation has great views due to the hilltop location and offers magnificent views of the surrounding area and sea.Simple, traditional Cretan style property offering facilities for a self catering stay. Situated on a hillside on the outskirts of Elounda on the road to Plaka, this accommodation has sea views with a panoramic view of Spinalonga. During the day guests can unwind on the beach or alternatively or enjoy the outdoor pool while children will also be kept entertained with their own playground. Internet access is available and the reception offers safety deposit boxes and money exchange for guests' convenience. Kavos Bay is ten minutes walk along the coastline, from Elounda village where numerous of tavernas, bars and shops are. Please note this accommodation is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.
Gregory Apartments
Our opinion: Surrounded by beautiful gardens, these studios offer an excellent location right on the harbour.The Gregory Studios are situated in the Bali area of Rethymnon. The traditional fishing village offers beautiful surroundings and a great selection of tavernas located around the harbour. Bali also has a great selection of modern cafeterias and supermarkets. These self-catering studios offer basic but comfortable holiday accommodation which makes it perfect for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The village of Bali is hidden in a small cove, between a large peninsula and mountainous range. If your looking for a quiet holiday, then choosing Bali would be ideal. There are several beaches in the area offering a range of leisure activities. The season runs from April to October when the temperature srange from 25-38 degrees. A Bali holiday is great for couples and families alike.
