Travelling to Spain, including the Balearic and Canary Islands
Everything you need to know before you go
This page gives specific information about travelling to Spain. Please also see our main Travelling with Confidence section for general information and details about arriving back in the UK after your holiday.
Travel restrictions and entry requirements are in place for most countries and can change with little notice. It is your responsibility to check the relevant local government websites and comply with all up to date entry requirements for your destination before you travel.
Current requirements for travelling to Spain
- 48 hours before your departure, you must complete an arrivals form online. or download the official mobile app and complete on your phone. You must have this document prior to departure and ready for inspection on arrival.
- All passengers must provide proof of two COVID-19 vaccinations completed at least 14 days before travel (excluding children under the age of 12 years old) . If you live in England, Spain will accept the NHS app or your NHS letter to demonstrate your COVID-19 vaccination status. You should not use your NHS vaccine appointment card to demonstrate your vaccine status. Failure to provide proof of vaccination may result in your carrier not allowing you to travel and will likely result in the Spanish authorities refusing you permission to enter Spain.
- If you have not been vaccinated with at least two doses, you will not be permitted to enter.
