A short stroll from the garden of this family-run hotel takes guests to one of the best and longest beaches in The Gambia – the three kilometres of golden sand that make up Cape Point beach. But you don’t have to leave the hotel for a cooling dip because it has its own pool, complete with a children’s area.
The popular Cape Point Hotel has more than 70 rooms, each one with an en-suite bathroom, dining area and kitchenette, as well as a shady balcony or terrace. Air conditioning is available.
The hotel’s air-conditioned restaurant, which overlooks the garden and pool, provides breakfast and dinner. Snacks are available all day from the bar. There are other restaurants, bars, shops and a supermarket nearby and sunbeds and parasols are available on the beach.
Many guests are attracted back to this small hotel because of its perfect location and the friendly service from the husband and wife who run it. The business has been in the family for more than 40 years.
Cape Point is a promontory where The Gambia river meets the Atlantic Ocean and is only a few minutes’ drive from the busy capital city of Banjul. Visitors can visit a botanical garden and a craft market or join jeep safaris.
One of the main attractions is the tranquillity of this peaceful coastal resort.
